Host Competition

Post by onemoretry »

I'm a bit puzzled by the top scores in the host competition. How can the top cumulative score be less than the top session score?

Good question. The cumulative "score to beat" is the 100th place score, since the top 100 qualify for the Peanut Gallery. The top session score is the #1 score, since the best single session score is what matters.

On the first day of the competition, the 100th place cumulative score can be relatively low. Even though it's cumulative, it takes a while for 100 people to get a decent hit in such short sessions.

OK. That clears it up. Thanks.

Here's another host competition question: Two or three times, I've been awarded an extra spin, and therefore played an additional session.

Did I do something to earn that extra spin, or was it just random?

There is a spot on the "Deals" wheel indicating 20 Deals PLUS a Free Spin. The odds of getting that are 1/10.

Aha. You learn something new every day. Obviously, I never noticed the free spin thing on the wheel.
