Re: Monthly Contest

It's not shocking because that person obviously had some awesome hands and not handed 4000 points just because. This program needs a little revamping is all. Make it exciting for everyone, not just a select few out of the thousands that play on your website. Believe me, with the crap hands I've been getting, renewal probably will not happen. Currently, on my first hand today, I have played 30 rounds on Deuces Wild Bonus and have 25 points. Do you honestly think that excites me? Would it excite you enough to want to play more? I think not.

I'm guessing that, if it was you out front with a high score, you'd be OK with things?

The fact is that there's almost always going to be someone having a much better than average run who is out in front of the rest of the field. I have played many, many monthly contests, usually finishing well off the pace. But, also, I've been in the top ten three times. You just have to keep plugging on, and be patient.

Today is only 7 days into March Monthly contest and I have 13k and the leader has 29K. So please explain to me how this is so much fun when you don't have a snowball's chance. I've been a member here since 2008, won the daily game about 75 years ago for $25. That was nice but I don't have to win, but I love to play and at least think I have a chance in these contests. But when the program hands Royals out like chicklets, I don't want to play.

Please do not automatically renew my account. I'll decide when its time whether I want to or not.

OK Webman... well of course if I was in the lead, I'd be more excited... who wouldn't??? duh. I would also like to think that I have a chance to catch the leader or even get hands that excite me. But that doesn't happen and I'm over it. Played a few hands today and nothing was exceptional or exciting. It's boring. That's what I'm getting at. That's what all this griping is about. people are getting HANDED Royal Flushes... I can barely break the 400 score. I'm tired and I'm done. Please pro-rate what I owe you out of the silver membership and refund the rest. Thank you. Grammie

If someone gets multiple royal flushes in the first 7 days of the month, it may feel out of reach. But others will almost certainly do the same over the course of the following 24 days. Each player's odds of doing so are not good, however. Those hands are hard to come by.

I see you played 100 hands yesterday and it didn't go too well.

Ultimately, it sounds like the Monthly Contest isn't going to provide what you are looking for, grammie. Most days of 500 hands will not be filled with excitement. You might enjoy other contests more, or you might not.

When I play the monthly game (and it is my fav). I don’t play against other players but the game itself. My goal is to have a result of over 100 percent. Since the games tend to be full pay I know I am playing the game correctly. Occ I have a hot month and make the top 100 and I have my bad months. On average I feel I am close to theoretical. If you played 30 hands of deuces wild and only won 25 credits, you either had a terrible streak or are taking every long shot at a royal. You may have to reevaluate the way you play the game. My goal has been and always will be to play better and lose less.

My biggest complaint is that it's clear that there are bots being used. I spend a very reasonable amount of time playing and when I do play, my knowledge of how to play is high. I have done fairly well in real casinos over the years. Yet, the same few names appear at the top, or very near it, every month in their number of entries, and I'm not even close to them. First of all, it's not a given that each game played will result in a score high enough to earn an entry. VP skill does come into play and just like a real casino, some days the gaming Gods just aren't with you.

To help overcome those realistic VP odds, a tremendous number of games will have to be played in order to have as many contest entries as some of these "players" garnish every month. Realistically, there's not enough time in the day for any one to actually earn the number of entries...day after day, after day... the list shows. And it's the same "players" each month. There are bots being used and it's obvious.

Was just checking out the monthly leaders and found this interesting.

The current leader Snake77 is playing a Joker variation and has 4 hits for 4,000 points so far this month.

In 2nd place is TXGal56 who has 3 royal flushes (none of them dealt).

In 3rd place currently is Dr Ted, who has not hit a single royal flush or other win of 4,000 points all month and is ahead of epegoblue who also has 3 royal flushes so far.

So those "other" hands certainly add up in this contest.

Dr Ted got quad Aces with a kicker 5 times this month, so far.
