Congratulations to frequent poster Come Back Kid for qualifying for the final round of this year's T of C. It is sort of old hat for the Kid as he has done this 3 or 4 times in the past. Only 50 players qualify each year. Actually, he was the #1 qualifier posting his high score within the first couple hours of the 4-day first round, and he held that honor for more than 17 hours of the 84-hour duration. Even though he slipped a few places, it really doesn't matter so long as one stays in the top 50. Now, he has (probably more than) a 2% chance of winning it all sometime in the next 3 days.

Wow, so sorry. My mistake. One might have thought in 13 years of my reading your posts that I would have picked up on that. I shouldn't have assumed; my little sister used to refer to herself as "the kid" in high school.

Thanks for the head's up. Anyway, that difference makes no difference in my wishing you luck; actually, I will wish you even better fortune in the next couple days.

And don't worry about the poor start; there is no difference between 50th and 11th. Keep swinging for the fences. (At the risk of committing another gender misstep, that could be a softball analogy as well as a baseball one! )

Good luck, OMT. Did you want to reveal her screen name, so that we could follow her progress? Though, I certainly would understand wishes for privacy if she or you would like to retain her anonymity.
