It seems that a lot of the contest chat centers around how there isn't enough Gold on the board - followed by how the contests are geared toward non-Gold.  I just checked the last ten contests, and ALL TEN WERE WON BY GOLD.  This site is advertised as a FREE gaming site.  As retiree with no raise in Social Security again this year, this is what I'm looking for.  I can't afford to pay for these contests.  I believe WebMan when he says the contests are fair and the cards are random.  If I didn't think so, I wouldn't play even for free.  I guess I'll just turn off the chat so as not to spoil an otherwise fun experience. 

The first October was not won by a Gold member. You're right though, there has been a streak lately of Gold members taking the top spot (though not too many other prize spots). Which is funny, because I remember not to long ago there were very few Gold winners. I don't think there was more than one in 2009, and very  few in the first half of last year.One reason is that there are a lot more Gold members now. The other reason, of course, is luck. In the Holiday contest, 2 of the top 10 scores were Gold. One of them was the top spot.

Maggiemay, I think you need to understand that you're dealing with VP players and we love to whine. Since VP is a game of 90% losing with an occasional big win to keep us afloat one really needs to release the frustration that can accumulate. So, we whine. We whine about almost anything. Don't take it seriously, it's part of the game.

Hey maggiemay have you seen Rod Stewart lately? Come on its normal for people who are part of a group to root for anyone in that group. So with that in mind lets go non gold.

I do understand the "root for your group" part.  I guess I just heard the "contest is rigged for non-gold" part one too many times.

There aint nothing rigged on this site. Its a great site that has great features for either Gold or Non Gold. Web man does a great job. Conspiracy theories tickle me. Now some of the casinos I frequent........different story

The thing I really like about this site is that all of the proceeds from Gold memberships are donated to the LV Home for Penniless Retired VP Players.
