payout %

Post by chiefsquirrel »

I could not find this anywhere in help or the forums...In NV, casinos are required to pay out a minimum of 75% on slots although payouts are actually higher (as a whole, across a single casino). These rules apply to casinos in most states (there are exceptions though). What are the minimum, guaranteed payouts here?thanks

Since you are not wagering anything to play here, there is no "guaranteed payout" on the standard non-contest games, as there is no money awarded.

Prizes in contests are as described in the contest rules, but again there is no money wagered so to describe it as a percentage payout would not be comparable to a wagering environment.

You may be talking about the return of the games in free credits. I can tell you the overall return is in the 95% range across all of the games. That is just based on random events, there is no "guaranteed" payout in credits on the site. Video poker games on average return much higher than the minimum payouts that you described for slots.

As for how casinos handle guaranteed payout requirements, I believe that is a topic being discussed in another thread.

Casinos pay out in credits - regardless of the denomination/lines played. I was just wondering if the site respects the same payout rules. It may be moot though as you mention.

Everything runs with a random number generator. As long as you play optimal strategy, all the games here are 94%+ as far as I know. Most of the VP games are 98%+ with optimal strategy.

I don't see anything close to 94% let alone 98%. No casino on the strip pays more than the high 70-s. It does make a difference though with the payouts - regardless of how smart you play.Underneath the wrappers, the algorithms are not truly random. If they were, casinos could never guarantee a certain percentage payout (as required by law). They could also never be assured that slots would be profitable.

This touches on the subject of getting to the "long run" mathematically. Given the total number of spins/hands played by everyone who plays at a given casino, the casino itself gets to the mathematical long run very quickly. In a practical sense, they are virtually guaranteed to meet the requirements of any "guaranteed payout" legislation even with random play. If it happened that the requirement was not met, the cause would almost certainly be due to some wide-spread malfunction among all of their machines. On the topic of RNG algorithms, it is true that they are not completely random, in that, for some, given a series of previously generated numbers, the next number can be predicted. However, they way that they are used overcomes this weakness. The RNG is continuously generating numbers even when no one is playing and between presses of the buttons when you are playing. To get a predictable result, you would have to press the button at the exact nanosecond that the random number you are predicting is generated.

Hogwash!Look at other casino games like craps and roulette. Are you saying all of the dice and wheels are rigged because that's the only way the casino can "guarantee" a profit? Enough random events assure casinos that they'll end up just FINE in the end given the mathematical odds of truly random events.Throw in player errors and their profits only go up from the "expected return" on a card game (video poker or otherwise)
