I thought I'd won a gold membership but I'm not allowed in the Lounge or Smack talk areas.What's up with that?

Good Morning WebmanI have been a gold member for several months.  Tried to access the gold part of the forum and was denied.  When it states that I need permission to access this part of the forum I do not conclude that just being a gold member is sufficient.  I assume that restricted gold membership is for the “inner circle”, perhaps VP fanatics living in NV that are part of a social network.Now, I find out that your system is screwed up.What new developments will I discover next month?

jim18 i am not a vp fanatic living in NV.i live in NJ and i can access forum.how come you have made 19 earlier posts and never questioned this problem?

Jim18, your permissions have been added. Sometimes people's permissions are set automatically by the forum, other times they need to be set manually. The forum software is all 3rd party and doesn't always behave for us here. You should be all set now.

WebmanThank you for addressing the program problem.Doris13It is true that I have made posts to this forum.  What does that have to do with the topic?Let me try to clarify a fact for you.  When I could not access the gold membership part of the forum, I thought the program was doing what it was supposed to do.  I honestly thought that this forum had topics where only those with special permission could access the topic.It is like  Facebook.  You can only be a friend, if you are given permission to be a friend.  This is what I thought was going on at this site as well - based on the message that was generated when I tried to access gold only topics.Whose fault is it that the program is not working right. And that this site knows it is not working right?  Lets use “deflection” and blame a 3rd party for this!You are criticizing me for not knowing that this forum is defective.  Ok, I admit to not knowing that this site’s forum is defective.  Is that a serious crime in NJ?  Will I be contacted by mafia types?Instead of coming after me, on this forum, why not go after the site for continuing to use 3rd party software that they know to be defective?
