no political statments

Post by jollyjoe-radio »

I do not play this site see some political hack spew his or her views.I play this site for the the pleasure of the competition. If some Trump lemming wants to kiss his butt, then let them do so on their site not this one!

Ironically, your own statement is more offensive than the one you are referring to. It's the internet and there are a lot of people with opinions... you have to learn to read things you disagree with and be able to let them go.But yes... I agree it's better when people leave their political opinions in the proper place. It seems like political views spill out everywhere these days. I think people are consumed by this polarized political climate more than ever. It seems like you can't go anywhere without people expressing their pro or anti whatever in some way.

I appreciate the thoughts. It can be hard to know when to draw a line on "political speech" and in general I think it's better to allow people to express themselves freely.

I assume you are referring to a comment currently in a contest "veep" on the leaderboard. There is no policy against political statements in that area, however we have designed a feature such that whenever you see a statement you don't like, you can now click on it to hide it. Give that a try.

Thank you for this new feature. It works. I used it much to my delight to block out the comments of this weeks leader in the weekly contest.

All you have to do is take the lead and tell us how you really feel.

Best way to lose a friend or even a family member is to get into heavy duty politics with them unless of course both agree on everything. That said, free speech rules in my book. If you don't like it, find another country to live in.

Phew, when I first saw this thread I was saying "uh oh" in my head...

The Anything/Everything section is where politics can and should be discussed to the extent people want to discuss politics here...try to keep it there.

And take heart...Trump will be gone after the 2020 election, if not sooner.

Meanwhile, here is a Linked article to put things in perspective:
