Transport Error

Post by amblinaugie »

Hello,
I'm trying to play a contest, and when I click on the game I want to play, it says:

Connecting to Server...
Details:
Transport error: 0 attempts)

I have tried 3 different browsers and have tried clearing the cache, cookies, etc., and still no luck, so It seems that it must be a problem with the site.

I'm using Windows 10 and have tried on Opera, Firefox, and Edge.
If anyone can help, it would be much appreciated.

If it's happening across multiple browsers, there must be something happening either with your security or network. The first thing I would try is doing a reset of your modem/router (unplug for about 30 seconds, then wait for it to come back online).

Thanks for the reply. I tried resetting the router and also disabling the Anti-Virus, but unfortunately I continue to get the error.

Just to be more specific as to when this happens - I click 'Play Now' under the weekly contest and the blue screen comes up and briefly says 'loading' then 'connecting'. All the games then show and I click on the particular game I want, and that's when it throws the 'transport error'.

After a little digging, it looks like transport errors usually are caused by something going wrong with the SQL database on the server, but I only have limited experience in that regard so I don't know if that would be the case here or not.

Thanks again for your help

I am having the same problem ; get the same "connecting to server"message while playing any game. Screen freezes then comes back after as long as a minute.Have cleared cache, cookies, and tried both explorer and chrome.

I tried to get on the weekly game again this morning, and received the same error. I clicked on the daily game and it came right up just fine. After I was finished, I tried the weekly again and still got the error, and then tried the daily again and also got the error. It would be really great if someone could help figure this out, it's a bit frustrating.

amblinaugie,
It sounds like your computer is having a hard time with web sockets for some reason. Is the chat loading alright for you?

I see you played 7 sessions successfully this morning, and failed on others. The fact that it's intermittent and not 100% of the time makes it tricky.

Can you try both Dream Card and 50 Play with Super Times Pay in non-contest mode and let me know if you experience the same problem with each?

Webman, thanks for your continued help.
The chat is loading fine and I tried a test message in the chat window and that worked fine as well. The Dream Card game resulted in the same error, but the 50 Play loaded with no problem at all.

How odd. Can you also try "Spin Poker with Dream Card" and 100 play for me and let me know if either of them have problems?
