What is the latest on Vegas casinos? Any thought that the casinos will be moving into a new phase?
A good majority are open. Almost all take your temperature on arrival and all definitely require masks to be worn. Still alot of tourists although I would say that the rock bottom prices lure in the type of people who would not normally come. I think there has been at least one fight/stabbing/shooting every day for the past week or so on the strip. Pretty wild.

It'll get much worse here in Vegas before it gets better.

(1) More layoffs, most notably Penn Gaming (M and Tropicana).
(2) MGM is considering closing down some of their property, midweek. Earlier this month, Wynn closed down Encore tower and casino Mon-Thursday.
(3) No fireworks here on NYE - - already cancelled
(4) Many restaurants never reopened. Some filed for bankruptcy, such as the popular Mon Ami Gabi, the one with Strip side patio seating in Paris Hotel.
(5) Strip violence necessitating added security and Metro on site.

Has anyone heard anything about Main Street Station and any plans to re-open. That has been my favorite Vegas casino for the last 10 years.

Sisolak did not mention any specific penalties for businesses that did not obey the new orders, but said he hopes businesses would comply. He also said that the Gaming Control Board has broad authority to issue penalties to casinos that did not follow the new mandates.

Its one of my favorites too. Probably one of the last honest places in LV to play VP.
