Had a friend who stayed in the Pioneer for three nights and raved about it. Went back six months later, had a different room he hated. They wouldn't switch him so he moved to the Trop.
Thanks BR. This will only be overnight. Do you know why he hated the room the second time? I am leaning to Pioneer as my late wife and I had two bad experience at Harrahs 6 or more years ago regarding the cleanliness of the rooms. However, it seems a number of folks here apparently feel Harrahs is the best option. I assume the housekeeping quality has improved.

I'm sorry but I don't know and I've pretty much lost touch with him.

Many of the rooms at the pioneer have been remodeled and the pictures I’ve seen are darn nice. Bumble berry flats has excellent food and the river bar is very nice. Has some good beers on tap. Laughlin river lodge is close and the general store has snacks, beer pop water at good prices.

Also, there have been complaints on harrahs not enforcing room occupancy limits and having 10 to 20 people in the room. California people have been swarming Laughlin and the river. Make sure you have a remodeled room, I hear some are not and they were in bad shape.

I hope you insisted on a remodeled room. I like the pioneers location and it’s riverfront. Hope the concert is a good one too.

Awful. There was poop or hair in the toilet, dirt on the bed, sand on the floor, and the phone didn't work the problem was in the wall was according to the engineer. We checked out and were told we would not be charged for either night. Waiting to see if the credit card hold will be nullified. Because we had the dog, we were able to get a room at the Days Inn in Bullhead. Much better accommodations for less money even given the last minute reservation. Obviously, no casino. Since we were there for the concert and had my car, it didn't matter.
