Stuff you may already know, but here it is in case you missed it:

(1) Resorts World is struggling. Having visited once within the first month, I'm not surprised. Nothing special worth the visit, unless you enjoy poor VP pay tables, mediocre overpriced food and a bland atmosphere.

(2) Cirque du Soleil is struggling. We've been to two Cirque Shows in the last three months (Michael Jackson One and Beatles Love). Both theaters were about 50% full, or less, on the days we went.

(3) Keep up with the name changes, if you book Strip properties. Tropicana will soon be called Bally's, Bally's will soon be called Horseshoe. Mirage will be a Hard Rock property with no more volcano. sIgh.

(4) Free parking at Strip properties during the pandemic is no more. The Tropicana used to be free (even before the pandemic), but they were tired of folks parking there and walking across the street to avoid paid parking at MGM. So, now even Trop is charging, too.
Still free at Venetian, TI and Wynn/Encore (as of today). Wynn has their parking barriers in place still, in case they wake up soon and reinstate fees.

(5) If you liked Vegas buffets, then be wary of those that reopened. Example: Main Street Station reopened a few months ago, along with their buffet that used to be decent food for a low price. No longer true. Almost double the price now, with mediocre food. There's only one buffet left to which I'd ever return these days: Wynn. It's crazy expensive though, and only open on weekends.

We refuse to pay to park at a casino. Maybe that's penny wise and pound foolish, but it is a real offense to us that a casino which wants our business would charge for parking. Of course, in Vegas it is smarter in the first place to leave you car at the hotel and take transportation, due to the horrendous traffic. But even in locales other than Vegas, we will not patronize a casino that charges for parking.

Mask mandate has been eliminated, but casinos/ businesses do have the option of keeping it. Most have lifted the requirement.

Mohegan Sun/ Virgin Hotel has implemented the $45 resort fee, you know, the one that they said they wouldn't when they opened?

Also, need to watch out for these crazy ass drivers driving on the wrong side of the freeway, and Raider players driving like they are invisible on the Autobahn in Germany on streets and freeways.

At many casinos here, that mask mandate has not been enforced for several months.

Agreed about that Mohegan Sun resort fee . . . that didn't take long.

Parking: Resorts World garage (located a very long walk away from the casino doors) has parking barriers in place, in case they revert to paid parking. Their lack of success since opening means that won't be implemented for a while. (although they did require paid parking during recent big festival events )

Re: drivers here - -- worst part ever of living in Vegas. (besides piss poor medical care).
If you drive the Strip, two added "events" of which you need caution: (1) those three wheeled vehicles that tourists rent and regularly crash at high speeds. (2) The bicycle gangs. There are organized groups of teens that ride the bikes on the Strip, weaving in and out of the lanes, doing bike tricks. They are more dangerous than the motorcyclists who split the lanes.
