Looking for Great Club in Vegas for Baby Boomers

Post by Gamblingirl2 »

Hi All - heading to Vegas with friends to celebrate our 50th birthdays.  Staying at Caears Palace which I like because it's in the middle of the strip (plus they are comping us our rooms).   Where is there a great club that we can go to dance that would have music from the 60's 70's and eighties.  Good ole' music that we know the words to and have danced to in our younger years!!!!  Any suggestions would be helpful.

GG2, for starters, early Happy Birthday. Hopefully, you're ready for the other half of life(so they say). I did a quickie check of nightlubs on the LVA and found only hip-hop, house and industrial clubs. Apparently the younger crowd has a more disposable income.(Teach them to mess with older folks!) I will check the LV Review-Journal and report back later. I went and found on LV review-journal a bunch of small clubs(too numerous to mention). Some that I found that may be of interest,Bikini's at the Rio,House of Blues at Mandalay Bay,the Nightclub at the LV Hilton, Glo Las Vegas 1650 e. Tropicana ave. All of these list 50's-80's music including Motown sound. Best of luck and again, Happy Birthday.

House of Blues is always a nice place to go from my experience but as a babyboomer I am aware that it is a little tough to find a place that fits with me.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!  I hope you will find that video poker machine at Caesars that just loves to give and give!

<LOL>  I just came back from Vegas.  The casino that I found to be "baby boomer" oriented was Fitzgerald's Downtown on Fremont St.They play nothing but 70's music maybe some late 60's.  And they play it LOUD.  Most of the players at the tables there were in their 50's...maybe early 60's.  Not sure what you are looking for but the Fitz sounds like it might fit your bill.

Try PollyEsthers at the Stratosphere.

It is a bit of a hike from Caesar's (far north end of Strip), but you can catch the bus up or take a $7-8 cab ride.

It actually has 4 clubs (70's, 80's 90's, 2000's) that should be able to provide a fix for the 70's disco fever or 80's robot dancer in you.
