Anyone heading to Vegas....

Post by DaBurglar »

.......Either the end of this month or during the first two weeks of November???I putting together my trip and I was just wondering if anyone might be in the neighborhood during this time range?I will be there for at least 10 days (I have a couple Southwest one way Rewards vouchers so I have a lot of flexibility on both my Outbound and inbound flights, so I am just trying to figure out where exactly I want to stay.   I have other non vegas things I need to do, such as spending at least two days in Los ANgeles, and maybe some time in the SF bay area.   I am also looking into the "Vacation Packages" that all the airlines offer.....its a great value if you are planning on spending more than a week in Vegas and if you are flying to get there.   Anyone had any recent experiences with booking a airline's "vacation package" to Vegas?    So far Southwest has the best prices....Check this out:  If I booked a Package leaving on October 29 for two weeks (returning 11/12) flying from Hartford to Vegas and staying at Palace Station it comes out to $1,100 TOTAL, for everything......if I want to stay on the strip I could get Circus Circus for $1300, or Downtown I could book the Plaza for $1250.If I want to book with a little more leeway for time and instead travel during December (a notably slow time the two weeks before X-mas in Vegas):   December 2 thru December 16 I could do Palace Station for 800 bucks TOTAL!   Luxor for about $1,000!

Have a great trip. Wish we could go to Vegas but circumstances have kept us from going for well over a year.

Why is anyone paying for a hotel room in Las Vegas these days? Even when bundled together with airfare as a vacation package?

If I only wanted to stay four or five days I could get comped rooms at any of the Caesars properties based on my play at their AC casinos....my total rewards offers currently include sunnday thru Thursday comped rooms at all CET properties.     But as I related a long time ago, if I am going to the trouble of flying so far, I want to stay a lot longer than a few days.   So a two week trip (with the obvious inclusive weekends) requires that I explore other more economical options, since I have not played much at Vegas properties at all over the last several years. And even when I did play alot in Vegas 10 years ago, typically I got all the comped rooms I wanted Suday thru Thursday, but I never played big enough to get Friday-Saturday Comps unless it was the two weeks before x-mas ......

No, actually I was simply taking a veiled shot at you. I'm just wondering why you felt the need to answer twice? Were you distracted by thoughts of Donald Trump dancing in your head?

Wow mammajamma that was clever. Do you do any other stupid computer tricks?
Haven't you allready gotten your forum post achievement?   Edited to add: Like it or not; now I'm NOT going to ease up on the guy. He is a liar who went back on his word. Taking the Lord's name in vain doesn't help either.
