going to Vegas

Post by sabrinia »

I will be joining my sister at the Palace Station this Saturday....we are staying for a full week...believe me we hardly sleep....no shows, just gambling....We have a great casino host....free room and meals...no we are not high rollers....we were there in Jan. and she hit 50 cent Keno for $3,000.00 .........I like Keno and will paly it but I like the video poker much better.....
Any suggestions on where to play? (we always rent a car).....what Video Poker games are most likely to hit the royal....and where are the Keno games the best? ........... I never come back from Vegas a Winner .....What the hey? .......... will be going there again in late Nov. for the All Harley Drags.......... my husband will go to the drag races and I will be gambling at the Palace Station,

Need some input please..........
Thank you Sabrinia

Try http://groups.yahoo.com/group/vpFREE/   You should be able to get up to date information from that site.  It is of course, Free though you might have to register as a member which is also free.My wife and I like Silverton and Fiesta Henderson and Texas Station.

First off, condolences on the injury!  So sorry that happened to you!  I guess VP must now be classified as a full contact sport <sigh>.  I do sincerely hope that your injuries heal rapidly!Secondly, I'm surprised Dancer is still teaching classes at Silverton!  They've removed all of his signature machines.  We were there last week also. The "Dancer" machines were significant because every game on them was "full pay" at all denominations.

Dancer is not teaching at Silverton any longer. I think he stopped around mid-August just after Sabrina was there. I believe the vpfree data is pretty much up-to-date with what you probably saw:

http://members.cox.net/vp_free/Silv.htmI believe you are correct SM.  I check the Casino Data Base through LVA which links to information from the vpFree data base and when I looked at it (yesterday or Monday) it still listed FP with nickels as well as quarters.  Those were the now MIA Dancer machines.Oh well, they still have good Quarter games, though not on all multigame/multidenom machines.  As in all casinos, you have to look for them and take nothing for granted.I did play the quarters and doubled my buyin without hitting quads.  Just FH and Flushes.  Whether I like it or not, I'm going to have to move up to Quarters just to get decent pay tables.  Impossible to find for peanuts any more.

The better paytables are usually the best bet. Of course, bankroll considerations are always important also. I just recently started playing more dollar machines in order to maintain my status at our prime casino with fewer trips. It's also worth better bounceback and multipliers as well. Since I have the bankroll I can manage it. However, it does take some getting used to the larger swings. Fortunately, I started out on a warm streak and didn't need any special plays.

Didn't need any special plays? Does that mean -- gulp! -- you didn't have your motorcycle handy for a fast getaway?
