The answer, regarding VP paytables, is to play off the strip.

For the most part, I'll agree with the article. My days of playing at strip casinos are through. The fantasy of getting to live like a multimillionaire for a few days is not worth it.

As for video poker, MGM mLife based casinos have a few good 99%+ options if you are willing to play at $1 denomination or above.

The restaurants and entertainment on the strip is undoubtedly great, so my new go to spot is Palms/Gold Coast so I can stay close and play at a locals casino.

I stopped gambling on the strip years ago and go where the locals go. What an improvement in results.

My niece told me the saying is " If you want to party go on the strip. If you want to play go off the strip. "

Will be going to LV next spring with about 12-15 family members. Will be staying on the strip, probably Mandalay Bay/Delano. No one is really a gambler but me so when I try to get them to go to Palms, Red Rock etc. they say why? Roulette odds are the same, we just play slots anyway. Wife gets pissed if I head out on my own to one of those places to find some good VP, so I stay with the group and don't play. Haven't been out in awhile and will check VPfree data base before I go. Just looking for some 9/6 for dollars on the strip somewhere. Can't believe the VP paytables in AC are better than the strip now. What the hell happened?

Suggest a visit to Red Rock. While you play VP they can see a movie, go bowling or play bingo. Not readily available on the strip let alone one location.
