Scammers

Post by Lionqueen »

I've stayed at most of the casinos on the Strip and have had scammers approach me just 2 times, once each at Mirage & Mandalay Bay but more times than I can count at NYNY. My husband has also had hookers approach him there, sitting right down next to him. Even I had what I assume was a pimp ask me if I prefer meat or pu&&y. I normally just waved them off but have notified security a couple of times and they don't seem too concerned so I rarely play there any more. Has anyone else had a problem at NYNY or other places? My favorite is the fortune teller from Hawaii - she's approached me on two separate visits.

Mostly with drunks/ vagrants bumming money. At the Rio several years back some dude came up to me while I was playing VP running some BS story and tried to hit me up for a few bucks. Security was on top of this, and before I had a chance to tell him to F-off, they grabbed him and escorted him off the property. At the Golden Nugget in Laughlin, some dude right out of prison ran some BS story about how his ol' lady was at the Edgewater and had all his money yadda yadda yadda... and this dude, with a beer in hand, smelled like he had a few too many already. I told him that I can't help him. He replied to me "you aint gonna give me any money?" at that point I got angry, stood up, and told him to get the F outta here. He took off.Last one was at the Orleans in the back near the food court where my wife and I were playing and this dude interrupted us with his story about how hungry he was and how he wanted some money for one of the fast food outlets there. I told him that there is a hot dog cart over by sports book with $1.50 hot dogs that you can pile on the condiments and that I would take him over there and get a couple for him, but he insisted on money for Subway, so this one too got told to F-off.  Now I don't mind helping someone down on their luck, but don't come hitting me up while I'm playing!

One of the best was the time I had quite a few credits built up and a young man sat down directly across the aisle from me and pretended he was talking to his mother about his wallet getting stolen yada yada and he kept repeating he just needed $79 to get home. This went on and on and when I cashed out and walked away he immediately closed his phone & left.
