WynnCore - The best high limit VP in Vegas?

Post by alpax »

I do not seek to play at the top tier destinations in Vegas (or the "Strip"), but the recent updates on vpFREE for the Wynn and Encore are definitely intriguing even though I do not by any means have the bankroll to play at those stakes.

Wynn and Encore are clearly competing in the high class market compared to Aria+City Center, Palazzo/Venetian, Caesars Palace, Bellagio, and Cosmopolitan. The best game is 9/7 TDB at those places but WynnCore just upped that.

It is about a month old, but the following changes I've seen.

(1) Two New Pay Schedules

NSU Deuces
9/6 Boner Deluxe

On top of

9/7 Triple Double Bonus
9/6 Jacks or Better
25-9-4-4-3-1-1 Bonus Deuces Wild
9/7 Double Bonus
8/5 Bonus Poker
9/6 Double Double Bonus

(2) Two New Stakes

The games are now also available on $50 and $100 denominations, before it was $5, $10, $25.

(3) Also available on Multiplay 3/5/10 line games.

(4) Available on Spin Poker at $1, $2, $5, $10, $25

I saw the disclaimer that those that play those games with successful result will not receive comps and subject to reduced earning point rate on the Red Card casino club. I also heard players with a local zip code are also no-mailed. Was wondering if an out of town player can try playing and see what they get from playing?

I was there in April and did not see any multiline TDB at 9/7. It was all 9/6 at $1, $2, and $5 levels.

I've also read that Wynncore hads some 9/6 DDB with DSTP (99.48%) for dollars+.

Ah, that explains it, I did not play in the HL room. Is 9/7 TDB available at $1 multiline in HL room, or does it start at $5?

Thanks Rebus for the heads up with regards to TDB, at least to me you are definitely one of the most serious players here. It seems like the no-mailing rumors scares off players, from what I see.

I've also read that Wynncore hads some 9/6 DDB with DSTP (99.48%) for dollars+.

I have not been there for VP purposes to know, but it would certainly be a revelation if it did exist. I only saw single STP reported, even that might be worthwhile if it gets the full points on the RED Card.

I clearly must have read too many of Royal Flusher's trip report blog to refer Bonus Deluxe in that manner, pardon me with that habit.

10/7 DB is a positive expectation game with less variance than DDB/TDB so I do not think they'll consider putting it in there, considering the amount of money they'll stand to lose as a high stakes casino. I did hear stories on Gambling With An Edge (guest with Jimmy Jazz) where in the past, the Wynn did put in FPDW for a short while to attract more players, but it was being played 24/7 so they had to eradicate it.

I played nickel 5 play ULTX DDB 7/5 on the main floor. Lasted all evening on $100, while guzzling Tanqueray and tonics from a cute waitress. Cashed out $200 ahead to boot.
