MLife Offers

Is it just me or are there others who have seen a huge reduction in offers from MLife properties? I used to get a large amount resort credit and now I get none. Freeplay is 1/4 what it used to be, F&B is half and our suite has shrunk. I don't think I'm playing differently and still going regularly. I stay at Mandalay Bay so it may be they are catering to conventioneers so curious if the other properties are doing this as well. I talked to my host about it but not really satisfied with his explanation. Thanks

I no longer get offers from Mlife since I have not been an active player there, but the reduction of offers may largely have to deal with MGM's Profit Growth Plan process that is going in place across the nine properties on the Strip.

The other factors may include that you were a significantly big winner on the recent visits.

The video poker inventory at the Mirage got decimated earlier this year. And most recently NYNY and Excalibur had their VP decimated too. Long story short, MGM Mlife properties are becoming more desirable to those that play the penny slots with more than 12% hold, they are the most aggressive to them.

Sorry to hear that your offers have been cut, especially when DDB at Mandalay Bay is shorted to begin with.

It's hard to move on when you have stayed at one place exclusively for 7 years as you get dug in and know the people so well. I guess Loyalty no longer has it's rewards. :(

Mlife is downright brutal it seems. Not the first time I heard winners being punished. The casino group has also suffered during the recession not as bad as Caesars Entertainment, but it seems like the changes started happening rapidly this year.

The only convention that would potentially bring in more revenue than high rolling gamblers is the Consumer Electronic Show. But the casinos revenue is off of the players and people who would spend hundreds on a $40, $50 bottle of booze.

If you still happen to want to return despite the reduced offers, play the same game/denomination/quantity. If a losing trip (do not lose on purpose) does not improve the offer by much, I'm guessing the assigned theoretical loss values have been dramatically lowered.

Holding out for a better offer usually works at a major casino joint. That's another option if you can resist for at least 6 months.

If you are looking to move on from MB while seeking to be on a high-end resort on the trip. Based on the raves and the reviews, the Cosmopolitan may be a good choice as a next place to look at. The new management has done a good job turning things around after a disastrous beginning.

I've heard great things about the Cosmopolitan and will check it out next month when I go on my won trip to Tropicana. Thanks!

P.S. I did win this past trip but lost the 4 previous. 😢

I have noticed my offers reduced with Milford too. Planning to go to Vegas next month and stay at the Excalibur. What changes have occurred with the VP at this property? Thanks for any information.

I can report that my MLife offers are not what they used to be.  I am a casual gambler at best with only a couple Las Vegas trips under my belt.  However, I can remember thinking that if I ignored the offers long enough, especially from Bellagio, they would get better.  They did not, and instead nearly disappeared entirely.  Hard to know anymore what they look for when making comp decisions.

MGM works strangely in tandem with Ameristar....Maybe if you played Ameristar [which oddly triggers MGM offers] for a while, the pingpong stats between the two will get both of their attention; Ameristar if they think they are poaching you from MGM.....and MGM thinks they are being poached.....Play the establishments like they play us players.....
