used to be great properties with a great assortment of full-pay video-poker.....Players club used to be good once you reached Sapphire.....awesome at Emerald....Don't know what it is like today....not asking, just saying....since

I'm shunned by this site's pro-wannabes for pointing out that BobDancer inadvertently taught the casino industry how to play the player....while he was teaching us how to play the game.....

GOOD LUCK....

used to be great properties with a great assortment of full-pay video-poker.....Players club used to be good once you reached Sapphire.....awesome at Emerald....Don't know what it is like today....not asking, just saying....since I wholeheartedly agree that these downtown properties USED to be truly exceptional in terms  of the  VALUE they offered the knowledgeable VP player who knows what games and paytables to play and how to play them.   Downtown Vegas in general historically always seemed to have that little something extra to attract knowledgeable and value oriented players, plus the whole general layout and structure of Downtown made it a favorite for a certain niche of Vegas visitors and players every year (me included).....  It all came to a screeching halt when the economy tanked in 2008/2009 and since then downtown has NOT recovered its former "niche" from before, nor has it restored its standing as the place where the best VALUES in Vegas gaming could be found (and I doubt it ever will.)  I'm shunned by this site's pro-wannabes for pointing out that
BobDancer inadvertently taught the casino industry how to play the
player....while he was teaching us how to play the game.....
GOOD LUCK....I must have missed WHEN and how you pointed this fact out to the rest of US.....nor did I realize you were subsequently  "Shunned by the PRO-WANNABEs"  on this site!First off, who exactly ARE THE PRO WANNABEs that you refer to?   Second, what exactly do they gain by shunning you on behalf (or in defense of)  Mr. B. Dancer??If you have followed some of my posts from the past, in particular the ones that focus on B. Dancer and how people here either support or attack  B. Dancer's way of doing things, then you would know how I feel and what I believe is at the core of B. Dancer's methods and practices.    He clearly has a certain amount of "Insider Knowledge and methods which he DOES NOT share nor is it a part of his ongoing VP educational/tutorial programs and practices"  ( a fact which he at one time admitted here on this forum);  clearly he cultivates and maintains relationships with specific Casino executives and owners which allows him in part to do what he does and where he does it, and no doubt the casinos with which he has relationships seek to utilize B. Dancer for their own advantages, whether Bob knows or realizes it or Not!     No big deal, nothing shocking or untoward about any of that.....

At least one of those casinos has a very good game, if you milk their system.

MSS is my go to for downtown VP. They also have a progressive 9/6 DDB old school bank (that spits out quarters), and yes, you still get a scratcher for hitting a quad on those. The full pay DB machines are $3 in for 1 point. Downside is for all Boyd Properties, they really downgraded the Young At Heart program on Wed. This used to be the best of them all, hands down. Not no more. You'll get a 6x or maybe a 7x multiplier. No more free buffets for 50 or 100 points. I did ask a floor manager about this and the reply I got was that "corporate is tightening everything up".  You also have to pay to park at MSS and Cal ($8 during the week, $13 on weekends) unless you have a Sapphire or Emerald card, then it's free.

Oh but Don't you worry OMT, most people with this alleged "super secret inside info worth 'milking' " are too stingy to purchase a silver platter to offer it up upon to the lazy, unmotivated masses you so clearly eschew.

I will always help anyone who asks, and never ever favor a casino over an individual..

Proverbs 13:4 - The sluggard craves and gets nothing, but the desires of the diligent are fully satisfied.

I hear the Freemont is scheduled to get renovated this year, which is very pleasant news. I am not a fan of their low ceilings and their buffet needs a facelift.

The Fremont buffet is the worst food I have ever eaten. Hamburg patties sitting in hot water to keep them warm. Just plain disgusting
