I am 100% in agreement that government does not have the right to tell someone he/she cannot smoke. 100% agreement! However, I also believe that in the conflict of rights, the rights of the non-smoker who is being assaulted with toxic fumes exceed the rights of the smoker. Does government have the right to tell someone he can't drink and drive if that drinking and driving interferes with the right of another motorist to safely access the highway? I would think so.

Our notions of FREEDOM are bizarre, hypocritical and inconsistent, and easily manipulated by extremists, malcontents, immoral idiots or misguided crusaders who can't see beyond their cause celebre (like abortion zealots, or gun freaks or gay rights activists)...

America is the home of the most selfish people on Earth... Not saying every American is selfish to this extreme, but many are and it shows in numerous ways....why else would we have every generation since the WWII Generation (the greatest generation) willing to stick their children's children with the problems now facing us....twenty trillion dollars in debt, about to balloon beyond counting because the richest 1%, via their paid Representatives, see a window to slam a scam thru and call it reform....while on the other side, the dunce-o-crats never met a social program they didn't like, and both sides love defense spending when it lands in their neighborhood.

How can we keep kicking the can down the road, hoping we'll be dead before there's a reckoning...And If you believe in God their is a reckoning to come.

According to the President's recent physical exam, he is but one pound away from the obese category himself. The golf is clearly ineffective.
I would like to ask you, and anyone else reading this thread one simple question: why on Earth, in this day and age of irrefutable evidence/knowledge/devastation caused by tobacco use and addiction, are tobacco products still available to the consumer public?

Because people want them and this is America.I'm not a fan of smoking and would love for everyone to quit. But I also am not a fan of the government telling us what we can and shouldn't do.The tide has turned I think and before long, many fewer people will want them.It will work itself out. But for those stuck with the addiction, it is a real battle. I know several people going through that and being successful with alternatives. It's a great thing to see when a longtime smoker is able to do without.
Hey Eduardo, where's the "Like" tab so I can click on it? Yes I'm still addicted but also manage to limit myself to 1/2 pack or less per day so it's kinda hypocritical for me to like this post yet you're still the MAN.

Electronic cigarettes will reduce nicotine intake, fwiw. You can make it a ritual to do once or twice a day. It's such a hassle you may even quit altogether.

Mike Trout is 6'3, 239. Somehow, it looks very different on him than on the prez. Unless someone was fudging the results again.

Well for starters, you do know that muscle is a lot more dense and compact than body fat, right? Many people make the seemingly idiotic comment that muscle weighs more than fat, but what they really are saying is what I just typed...

If two people are the same height and weigh the same, then what you must next evaluate is BMI (body mass index) and of course, evaluate the actual physical fitness of the subjects.

I don't know what Trump's BMI really is but I can guarantee you it's awful compared to Mike trout. And no, I don't believe Trump weighs 239...it's obvious he is about 260 or so...lazy indolent jerk-i-mo...with all that McCrapola he consumes he must have the worst breath of any president since Washington and his wooden dentures.

Apache Joe's Bar & Grill in Las Vegas is a nice sports bar with about 15 machines at the bar. Most patrons smoke, but the ventilation system is so awesome that you hardly notice it! Haven't been there in a few years (it's a long drive for me now). Miss that place!

Trout celebrated his 2014 $144M extension with a 58 ounce steak (12 oz. bone). No pot belly concerns.

I can see this conversation in 10 to 15 years about pot smokers. Downtown Denver smells like crap. No one knows what will happen to this pot smoking generation when they hit social security. And the generation after that will be saying the same thing as you are all saying now. I am a smoker. I started losing my "rights" years ago when the first person in line at a bank gave me a nasty look as I smoked away waiting on line for a teller. I did quit. For about 10 years. Then one day I picked it up again. I have no rights now. My trips to Vegas slowed down drastically. since most hotel rooms do not want smokers. Here in Colorado I boycotted the casinos at first when they went non-smoking. I did get used to it and now I make sure to have a "reserved" sign nearby so I can take a break from my machine and step out to smoke. (the smoking area is never empty, by the way) When I do go to Vegas I make sure to sit at a machine with no one around so I can smoke in peace. If you don't like it, don't sit next to me. I will respect you and not light up if you are there first. Cigarettes cost about $50.00 a carton, I can afford it. I know the value of my house is lower than my neighbors. That's my problem, not yours. And for those of you with TDS what the heck has this conversation got to do with President Trump? #MAGA
