Thank you Borgata! It had been my worst VP year ever, and while I finished still down some for the year, my recent last trip to the Borgata for the year has saved me from an embarrassing low. My wife, who plays the same denominations and games, finished in positive territory, beating the house for the year. I am an exclusively single line player, playing DDB, SDDB, and TDB (yes I know the EVs and higher variances for each, but I enjoy the larger hits and am disciplined in money management). My wife and I usually play approx. 10,000 hands each per trip, but for this last trip I played approx. 12,000 hands to maintain my tier level. That play yielded multiple nice hits, but, most enjoyably, four handpays - 3 Royals, capped off with a 4AWK in TDB. Although I pIay some $1, all the handpays came at .50. I may not see another Royal for a long time, but who cares, it was a blast, and the drinks at the Amphora, always good, tasted even oh so much better.
Happy New Year to all, be safe, and best of luck in your gaming,

Congrats to the both of you and a very nice collection of hits. Anyone who plays max coin would have been thrilled with the results.

Nice hits!
I'm gonna borrow your terminology for when my wife asks how my stock picks performed in December.
me: Honey, not every month is straight up.
her: How much did we lose?
me: While we finished down some for the month, we had a +2% day on December 3rd.
her: How much is "some"?
me: You look beautiful in that dress.

Honey, does this dress make me look fat?

Thanks Ted and Dinghy, and Dinghy, love your comeback. Yes, I wasn’t precise, the post was getting too long. But suffice it to say that my net win for this trip after coin-in, with the hands pictured and multiple other good hits, was $6321. That brought me to a more acceptable loss of 2.3%, not counting comps, etc., for the year, which is a little ahead of the expected loss for the average for the Borgata pay tables of the three games I play. I’ll take it as as late as October I was down almost 8%, in slot play territory, having never exceeded more than a 2% loss any year I’ve played, and only 1% in 2023. I even hit the trainers a few times to make sure I hadn’t forgotten how to play…. A Royal on my prior trip, which makes it 4 Royals in approx. 20,000 hands, started the turnaround.dinghy wrote: ↑Tue Dec 31, 2024 1:17 pm

You brought down the Borg. $2.50 bets at that.

I'll be heading down this weekend to start 2025. Yes, the Amphora Lounge is great.
