AC's summer of discontent

Ignoring the talk on Video Poker only for a moment, my last visit to AC involved talking to may dealers and floor people and management-types about all things related to AC besides Video Poker as well, and it does not look good for the boardwalk folks.... Nevermind the fact that the Boardwalk has become the "bored walk", this summer was supposed to be the BIG turnaround kick start the city needs to recover somewhat, but 2/3 of the way through the "busy season" and AC is falling behind worse than ever..... The rats are starting to scurry already, the newspapers are starting to point fingers and sound the alarm, blaming the city's "DO AC" campaign as pathetically inadequate and inept, lambasting everyone from the City's Casino Redevelopment Organization to Chris Christie's governorship to global warming......too much was spent on adding new restaurants when they cannot even fill the ones they have, and likewise with new clubs..... Revel finally gets it with its "Gamblers wanted" theme, which should be the same for all of AC....trouble is, Revel may be too little too late. They just ignore all the obvious things....I already shared my Taj Mahal puke story, but here is another small yet significant detail as to why AC cannot get back on track: If you book reservations online using either Trump Plaza or Taj Mahal website, they give you a confirmation number but refuse to list ANY other info about your reservation, such as the specific DATE! I booked several AUgust Dates at the Taj, and when I go back, all I see is several confirmation numbers listed under my August room offers, but not the specific DATE I booked it.....so I go to their "Confirmation of Reservations" webpage on their site to look up my actual reservation......The confirmation number(s) I have are 12 digits long, BUT the webpage that asks me to input my confirmation number to look it up has a field that is only 9 (nine) numbers long!!!!! I am serious, look it up! I mean, but c'mon, wtf is wrong with these people!?!?! Glaring errors on your website, when you specifically direct and request people to go to your site to book and change reservations instead of calling, is just plain STUPID. So now I must call their customer service number anyway in order to make the changes I need to make, but so far I have been put on hold twice for 5 minutes at a time. Many horror stories like this abound at Revel and other AC properties, but I must say, in all the years I used to book Vegas, rarely did I ever have such a litany of problems.
