I don't think Atlantic city is anymore dangerous than other casino locations including the LV strip. Remember the gang related shooting/car accident right in front of Ballys LV that killed innocent bystanders? Plus all the homeless in storm drains under the strip?
I will definitely agree with the condition of the AC casinos. They are being run to the ground! Resorts was on a roll with some needed updates , then it stopped. Entering from the parking garage looks horrible with elevators that are falling apart. And recent cuts of comps and coin in for points wont help. Showboat has chunks of concrete falling from the ceiling. And along with the rest of Caesars raised the points to $50/1 on good vp. Even Borgata is slipping by cutting back on maintenance and removing more quarter 9/6 jacks.
I like visiting a casino that clean, well maintained, not too smoky, has good quarter vp, has good restaurants that are reasonably priced and fair comps. That is becoming harder to find in AC.

I am taking one more trip to AC, beginning March 16 thru March 24, where I intend to use up all remaining comps and free crapola, and then I am re-orientating my life to frequent Vegas, and only Vegas, via airplane every other month (roughly 6-7 times a year).....I am done with AC.   Anyone else here planning on being in town during the period I mentioned????   I probably have more comp dollars than I can possibly blow all on myself, so join me for a free steak or booze (I know, technically booze is already free, but there is a HUGE difference in what you get served while hitting machines and what you get in the restaurants and bars, quality and quantity wise.)

I will be unable to attend during that time frame and, it's usually not like me to turn down an offer of a free steak.

Sorry I can't make it either DB in March. Staying close to home with parent's situation. Thanks for the offer. I can almost taste that steak now and a couple of Sam Adams or similar. A nice Lemoncello to round out things too!!!! I will take a raincheck though, just in case plans or our thoughts on all of this change. Best of health and luck too.

DB...Your offer just reminded me of something at work years ago. We have all been retired more than 10 years now, but many many years ago, we would go for coffee at break and always sit at the counter in the section where the cute waitress was. We would get our coffee and once or twice a week the waitress would slip us a supposed day old ( but they were the fresh ones) homeade cinnamon donut. After the first bite, my friend and coworker would always say...." Ahhha, there is nothing like the taste of a free donut." We would all crack up no matter now often this was repeated. Of course we over tipped the very cute waitress and that helped getting free donuts too!!!

I posted in another part of the forum the following strange and bizarre event:   very soon after posting my previous entry in the thread where I say goodbye to AC and hellow to Vegas (6 or 7 times per annum), I get an email and an account update from Trump (the Taj and Plaza), where they increased every single possible comp and casino offer to me for th emonths of April and May!!!    I mean wtf is this?!?!?     I now have free rooms EVERY day of the month, up to 4 nights per week (every 7 days) at both properties, along with about 1200 bucks in free play (up from 450) per month, and too many to list smaller casino offers, free entries into tournies, gifts and whatnot .....!Either coincidence , or someone from trump reads this forum and knows who I am.....or perhaps, Bub Dancer made a clandestine phone call to upper management alerting them of my unkind words, especially about the Taj's rusty broken pipes and falling ceiling......if so, THANKS BUB!!!

My guess is that the Trump people are aware of this site and see what they can do in the way of damage control. Like all big business today, they are concerned about image right or wrong. In Trump's case, ( and I have heard him speak many times) everything he has or does is " fantastic, the best, incredible, best rated, most attended, etc. etc." The latest example was the Trump Dorral golf tournament last week. He does seem to be a perfectionest. Not saying that is a bad thing. That is just how it is. That said, this is just my opinion, but if your posts can have some good impact in A/C, so much the better. Maybe I will get something from them to help chase me out of Mohegan.lol

DB. I know you and I have had our many downs and few ups on VP. I have a way you can play and get many small wins. Of course in the long run, your bet will get too high and bust the bankroll, but you can always cut it off at say a 300 buck loss or so. It works well for me. My problem is not being happy with the small wins and hoping for the big hit with lots of quarters bet.
For job, ( 9/6 preferred), start your bet at one unit. For every 3 consecutive losses, go up one unit. For every hit where you get 2 pair or better, back down 1 unit for a 2 pair or 3 of a kind hit, back down 2 units for a straight, back down 3 units for a flush, back down 4 units for a full house, and upon hitting anything higher, eeither cash out or start over at one unit. This will only work on machines that let you bet up to 25 quarters or more. If you have very very long dud streaks like 30 or more, it will bust you. That isn't supposed to happen too often, but it does happen. I have kept track of this for over a year and if I had been happy with small wins of 40 bucks or so, every session I had would have been a winning one. It will work similarly for Deuces wild or Joker kings, but you have to wait longer before going up on consecutive losses. It does not work well for the tough games like DDB, or similar. I often refer to this as my Martingale clone method. Now if I could only be content with gas money, I wouldn't have to complain about losing so much. PS. You will get those once in awhile big hands with lots of quarters bet. That does not happen often unfortunately for me!!!

DaBurglar in a different forum here you asked Bob Dancer a question. Now in this forum you are back to screwing with him by misspelling his name, what did he do to you?

Caesar's reports 1.7 Billion dollar loss in 4th quarter mainly attributable to impairments in a deteriorating Atlantic City market. Do not know how to cut and paste put you can find the article on any financial website: ticker symbol CZR.
