Goodbye tour

Post by DaBurglar »

August 2 thru August 8 I will be in AC saying goodbye to the Showboat, Trump Plaza and Revel.Anyone else going to be in AC during this time? After that, I will not be in AC again until AUGUST 31, and even though that will be the last day for all three probably, no way will I set foot or wheel in any of them at that point.....I learned my lesson from the AC CLUB back in January. What will happen the last weekend these places are in business (the weekend of August 29-31), they will SHUT DOWN the TITO machines and from that point until lights out, if you want to cash out you must stand in line at the CAGE.   This is what they did at AC club, and I gotta tell you all, it was quite a shock (as well as annoyingly inconvenient) to have to cash a ticket and stand in line(s) that ran out the door into the lobby and beyond.    Seems though this is common practice when a casino shuts down, but do not ask me why???   Anyone know why they do this?   Perhaps Something to do with people cashing OLD tickets?  Or is this just a way to PUMP up the last REVENUE, as people get tired of waiting and go back to dump their money in hopes of one last HUGE HIT?If there ever was a time the casino(s) would RIG their games, I would have to believe NOW is that time!!   Who would know?  How could they possibly get busted?  I am certain that the NJ gaming Commission will NOT have the few field agents available patrolling three casinos that will be gone in a few weeks. And in saying "good bye" I obviously will NOT be playing any machines, just saying farewell to all the employees I know, eating in the restaurants I will miss and playing some poker in the Showboats poker room against other sad bereft poker players.I must say, I REALLY do miss the AC CLUB's rooms with the awesome hot tubs, along with their coffee and donut shoppe, and of course the Frank Sinatra inspired PATSY's Italian Restaurant.

DaBurglar I'm sure the housekeeping staff will miss you there. If it is such an inconvenience to stand in line at the cashiers cage to redeem a ticket when the place is closing then don't go. If the casinos do rig their games during their final hours, don't go.

Yeah well, Ok THANKS TED.....thanks for essentially REPEATING what I said in my post, but I am still going.   If you can force yourself, re-read my original post and notice where I say I will NOT be playing any of the Showboat, Trump Plaza or Revel machines.

I am leaving in 30 minutes for AC.....catching the 7 am bus out of Springfield and then Hartford .....I will post a detailed report on what I find in AC, in terms of employee morale, what management is saying at places like Trump, Caesars and elsewhere in light of recent developments......and I will report on the game play and Holdem Poker at the Borgata and possibly even Ballys Poker room (hopefully this time they actually have some action going on in their brand new poker parlor, and not just a BIG huge Empty-Emptiness!)If anyone is going to Be in AC from August 2 thru AUgust 8, please look for me....I will be staying at Trump Taj, Harrahs, and one night at the Trump Plaza (AUgust 7).Look for a Black and Navy Blue wheelchair, being driven by a extremely handsome, muscular gentleman with a shaved head, probably wearing  New Englan Patriots Ball Cap, or a Bugle Boy ballcap.Seriously, do not be shy, just say "Hey Burglar!"  and introduce yourself.......got that Jimdeuces, and even you Doris.   I know you dont really hate my guts like the way Tedlark does.

Wish I could go, but have to stay close to home. Have a safe trip. Maybe meet up at Mohegan soon. That goes for everyone here too if you are heading up this way.
