I got back yesterday from my trip (Aug 2  thru Aug 8)......I arrived the day after the shelton concert and people were still buzzing about it!     I was able to hear the LAdy Antebellum concert and they were really good too....(I am not able to wheel over beach sand so I could not see the show, unless I bring my all terrain wheels for soft beach sand!! )I will post full details of my trip later, but let me just say this FREE concert is exactly the thing AC needs (and has NEEDED!)   It took full advantage of ALL the natural, inherent benefits of AC's location, layout and environment.    People were JAMMED packed along the boardwalk that wekend, and the boardwalk businesses did lots of sales!  My friends who own one of the ice cream stands said it was one of the best summer weekends they had since 2006 (which is BEFORE the big crash!)      It proves several things that many of us have said:  AC CAN get people to show up IF.......IF they give people a reason to do so......what this means for casinos (since they cannot give free concerts on the beach with bonafide superstars every weekend) is that they must give people a REASON to ditch the convenient 20-40 minute drive to a local Pennsylvania Bankroll destroyer (or the one in Aqueduct in NYC), by giving the players something of VALUE.....like SIGNIFICANT free slot play; a couple nights free rooms no mater what the past player history reveals (assuming they have player history) in order to rekindle the player-casino relationship >>>> AFter they stay, you evaluate how and what they played to determine if you keep sending them offers, but the point being, you have to make the first move and get them back there, because as things stand right now, you are "toast" without doing this!     You get the idea,,,,,what it takes is WORK, and thought, and creativity......things which (in reality and in life) VERY FEW PEOPLE actually truly possess ......

It is a shame, DB, that you were unable to see the Lady Antebellum concert. I saw them in Vegas, and they were great.

I bet that they had a "Handicap Accessible" area for viewing. Should have checked into that.

They actually DID have handi-view areas allotted, but by the time I arrived, got settled in, ate and then realized  what was going on, it was kinda too late.  But I still heard a good portion!

Yes, It is a good summer. Next week Wednesday ( Sept. 2nd ) is the airshow with the Blue Angels.
