Well after losing non stop through most of this past year at Harrah's, Bally's and Ceasars casino's in AC the tide has finally turned. In the last 3 weeks we've hit a jackpot each time we've gone (Harrahs). All on AC Joker Poker. I am hoping it's a trend but we'll see. AC Gives and AC takes.
Anyone else having any better luck there?
Winning in AC

Anyone else having any better luck there?first off, congrats....I myself never fancied joker poker but for some people it offers a better return than regular video poker games like BP or DDB.I've never actually had a bonafide winning "streak" since I first went to AC in 2009....I will have a winning Video poker trip here and there but mostly its not profitable playing VP in AC......however I have had consistent success playing LIVE poker in AC, since the caliber of players currently in AC are pretty low (except at the Borgata where all the east coast "pros" hang out....I am NOT a professional poker player, at least not right now.) I am not getting rich, but I am definitely well in the black and making up whatever I lose or spend otherwise in AC.....hence the main reason I continue to visit as far as the gambling is concerned, but I also love the Boardwalk and the vibe of the city. Food is ok too once you learn where to go......

We play both types of video poker - AC Joker and DDB/TDB. For every royal we get there are at least 3 5OAK that we hit in any given time period. Surprisingly, the machines we hit the most money on are a 5 hand nickel Joker Poker Progressive. Any 5 OAK dealt hits the Progressive. It starts at $2000.00 and I've seen it go as high as $17,000. We hit it once for $4600. The nice part is that a single hand 5OAK pays $400+(each hand is progressive also) rather than the usual $200.00 that most nickel machines pay for a jackpot be it a Royal or a 5OAK. We've hit many single hand jackpots on that and it's a good game to recoup losses if it's been a bad day.
