Re: Another AC fiasco

Post by DaBurglar »

Just a few more questions DaBurglar: did you play ANY live poker during this trip that you can report your results on?; does AC have any winter attractions to visit or spend time at if not spending time at an AC casino (for example could you have dove off the famous steel pier)?; don't you have a girlfriend, a nurse if I recall, that lives in AC and wouldn't SHE be the main reason why you would go to AC?

I am doubtful of your claim of placing in the "money" that often because your previous trip reports do not support this.   Thanks for asking Ted, I am flattered you are taking such a keen interest in me and my experiences.....As I said earlier, the winter weather killed any POKER action this trip, as GN's poker room was shuttered all day Thursday and did not reopen until after I checked out on Friday March 6.....so again, NO poker this trip.No winter attractions other than what is available INSIDE casinos and places in the city of AC itself (like its nice public library.)   I used to simply enjoy the vibe of the city and staying at the various hotel/casinos, no matter what time of year it was.......AC club used to be one of my favorites due to the hot tubs they had in many of its rooms, but they bit the dust as you know......I am no longer involved with anyone, although my Ex and I are still friends and do see each other casually, especially since AC is not that big of a city and the Hospital is right next door to Ballys and Caesars.    But my relationship USED to be the main reason I persisted in going to AC from 2009 thru 2013/2014, and I recall explaining that to everyone back when people were literally whining about my whining and unable to reconcile "WHY" I keep staying and playing in AC.........but now you also know "WHY" I have greatly decreased going to AC the last 7-8 months (this last trip was the first since Early December, and before that I only had a couple trips from late October 2014 to December 2014.)Since early March of 2013, I have played in a total of 9 tournaments in AC casinos (Borgata (4), Harrahs (2), Ballys (2) and the Tropicana (1).)   I have cashed out in 3 of them.....I do not always talk about tourney events since they are extremely disparate and varied amongst the properties......Borgata events are typically several hundred entrants at least, while the other casinos typically have "only" 45-50 entrants on the small end and 120-125 on the large end......If I bother talking about my poker action it is usually centered on the Cash Game action, which tends to be more fun and exciting.    Sorry you doubt anything though, it is my priority to provide you with top notch updates and recaps since you are so clearly eager to know what;s going on with me......FYI-  it is pretty easy to verify what my tournament results are......you can call the poker rooms directly at each casino and they will divulge results going back as far as 3-4 months (or further), so the next time I claim I did well in a tourney, I hope you will verify it and remove that nagging doubt!

One reason why I found your claim of cashing in 1/3rd of the poker tournaments in Atlantic City to be a bit skewed is because you have posted that live poker is the single biggest reason why you still go there. If this were true then wouldn't you be more apt to report on your live poker play? Is it you who only reports winning sessions and you quietly keep the losing sessions under wraps? You have also stated that you would only use video poker as a minor diversion when not playing live poker in Atlantic City. So we are being led, by you, to believe that there was NO live poker being played ANYWHERE in Atlantic City during your most recent stay? If you were in fact, true to your word then you would have greatly scaled back your video poker play in Atlantic City and hardly be playing any, if any, at all.    The consistency of you getting your lunch handed to you when playing video poker in Atlantic City is of record and it is astounding to me that you even still play video poker in there. I'm beginning to think that you purposely make these posts of your video poker woes in the hopes that you will gain a sympathetic ear from the rest of the forum members.   You obviously have gone back on your word with regard to scaling back your video poker play in Atlantic City. I too, gave my word once about something and it was about a local car wash. Once in 2008 I took my vehicle through this car wash and my back glass wiper was torn off; breaking it. I then politely asked the owner of the car wash if he would make good on the cost of the replacement parts and he took me over to a sign that was hidden behind a garbage can and this sign said they were not responsible for damage to rear wipers. I then politely told him that I would immediately stop patronizing his car wash (2 visits a week minimum @$15.00 a visit plus $5.00 tip) and never return. To this day I have never been back there. Did he miss my business? Probably not, but I kept my word. Maybe you should try it. Keeping your word that is.

this is the funniest thing I have ever read in my life.......keep giving it more thought Ted, you may be onto something here, do not give up!!!   I am sure the rest of the forum is also keenly interested in what you are doing here and what you may come up with......this is crucial!I am deriving a great sense of satisfaction that you are giving it this much thought.......the fact that I am on your radar to this extent is sooooooo satisfying.     I also am extremely entertained by how awful your passive aggressive tactics are......that must be extremely frustrating for you.

for the rest of the forum, perhaps you can ask (or realize) the following points that are too complicated (or uncomfortable) for Tedlark:When I shared my experience in AC this time, were any of you as offended or "put off" as Tedlark seems to have been?  Were any of you as "miffed" as he seems to be?  What exactly is Ted "miffed" about?   I violated "my word"?     What word?   Who did I give my word to?   Perhaps Ted can go back and show us where I gave my "word"......lol      Clearly the guy is having a meltdown .....I have been playing about 1/3 the TOTAL video Poker I used to play in AC these past 12-15 months.......this most recent trip, March 4-7, had me staying at the Golden Nugget for the first two nights, and it was my plan to spend most of my time in their awesome poker room.....but alas, due to the EXTREME weather, it was closed.    And, as most of you no doubt can understand, this weather affected EVERYONE, not just me and not just the Golden Nugget.   I was literally Marooned Thursday March 5 until noon on Friday March 6....the roads in AC were a awful unsafe mess......so, no I did not feel it important to attempt to get over across the freeway to Borgata, lol     So again......if anyone else out there, besides Ted, feels I violated "my word", let me know......

DaBurglar in the grand scheme of things, I hardly give you any thought at all. Nor am I: "put off"; "miffed" or, having a meltdown.    Were you really that isolated and without hope of escape? That is the definition of marooned. So you were in Atlantic City for 3 days, stuck inside the Golden Nugget for one of those days. This left 2 days to play live poker somewhere else in Atlantic City.    To traverse the freeway and get to Borgata is easy; HAIL A CAB...    Edited to add: You try to turn things around back to me because you have no good answers for the questions or comments I raise to you. If a man does not keep his word then that man will be walking under a long shadow of doubt even when the sun is out.

DaBurglar in the grand scheme of things, I hardly give you any thought at all. Nor am I: "put off"; "miffed" or, having a meltdown. Your posts say otherwise.......it's ok Ted, you are in a corner of your own painting, no big deal, happens to all of us.    Your pointless, irrational hostility you feel towards me gets you in trouble a lot in terms of saying things that make little of no sense.   See, the problem with this whole attack of yours here is you failed to present to the forum  WHY you made this big stink to begin with......what do you care whether or not I played any real live poker?   You are talking about something (the situation in AC on March 5 and 6) that you have no clue about......    Were you really that isolated and without hope of escape? That is the definition of marooned. So you were in Atlantic City for 3 days, stuck inside the Golden Nugget for one of those days. This left 2 days to play live poker somewhere else in Atlantic City.    To traverse the freeway and get to Borgata is easy; HAIL A CAB...This was NOT a mere snow event....it was one of the worst storms AC has seen in a long time....look it up.    The city was BARREN......very few people were ANYWHERE not just the GN, so no, it was not possible to go somewhere else and play live poker.    Most Cabs were NOT even running on March 5.and you really are not very imaginative.......I arrived at 3pm on March 4, so that day does not count for much since by the time I checked in, ate and relaxed, it was early evening, and becuase the storm was on its way people were NOT coming into AC (I was a rare exception).    The casino STAFFs likewise were not coming into work.....Thursday March 5 was a lost day as I already pointed out.......the only conceivable time I could have played was in the afternoon and evening of March 6 after I checked into Resorts......but the roads and area were still a mess, and it was BITTER cold, so I simply decided to stay in.....Resorts has NO poker room.     That is why I was playing Blackjack that night, FYI.Again,  NO one else on this forum cares about this non-issue except you so it puts to the LIE your initial claim of you not giving me a second thought or not being miffed and put off.      Why is that Ted?   how come YOU are the only one to harass me to this extent?   All you did was smear yet another one of my posts.....See, no matter what BS you spout as your justification for this nonsense, it still does not refute the fact that YOU could simply choose to NOT post, to NOT smear or subvert, to not harass.........but that's not in your makeup to do that......

So just so I have this straight: you arrived in Atlantic City BEFORE the storm hit? Having probably heard weather predictions of the magnitude that "Thor" could be, you still made the trip to Atlantic City anyway?

And just now you mention playing blackjack at Resorts when you made no mention of playing blackjack during this trip in any of your previous posts?

DaBurglar I am not spouting BS, I merely ask questions from information I read in your posts. It's not my fault you make it so easy for people to poke holes in your fables, err I mean your "posts." You don't happen to be a distant cousin of a guy named Aesop, are you?

You don't happen to be a distant cousin of a guy named Aesop, are you?Ok, you win.....I never went to AC.     I was down in Hartford buying floor tile for my brother's addition to his house.......I'm busted.I apologize to the forum for trying to generate conversation and discussion yet again......you all owe Ted a HUGE debt of gratitude for stopping this false thread before any more serious damage was done to any of you.......WEBMAN< I think you should reward Ted with free membership in GOLD for another year.....hell, make it 3 years. And I have learned my lesson.....never again will I make up stories about trips to AC (maybe I dreamed this stuff, which is why it seemed so real to begin with.....ever have that happen?     I am sure some of us here DREAM of winning big and winning often at otherwise unwinnable games, like today's VIDEO POKER......I mean heck, a person could dream they actually win a lot and often......maybe even as much as 80%!!!!)
