Borgata trip 5/25-5/29

Post by thegreatone24 »

Wife and I booked four nights comped at Borgata. She did the first two and then myself. Had a great time lots of fun and lots of vp. Drove down Monday morning got there around 10am no traffic which was nice for once. Checked in right away with a high floor level and far away from the elevator.

After settling in we went downstairs to the B bar which is in the middle of the casino. We played 9/6Job for a while as we sipped on our espresso martini and her pomegranate martini. I walked around to hunt down more 9/6Job found two rows that were .25,.50,$1,$2. After playing all day and holding our own we called it a night. Got up and went down to the pool. The hot tubs were amazing. ">[/IMG]http://i.imgur.com/Omc4jqa.jpg[/img][/IMG]

After the pool and a shower back to the floor and straight to the bar :). We used FloriaPhil's system the whole trip and had a blast doing it.

The next day we checked out of the Borgata Hotel and checked into the Water Club Hotel.

Went back to the bar and we did are pop shot on dollars and hit a 4K

Played for a long time at the bar and then hit these. [/IMG][/IMG]
I know lots of you are going to stay I wish you were playing 5C but I was thrilled and if I played 5C the whole trip I would've been broke. After a successful day playing vp we headed to the room. In the morning wanted to check out the pools at The Water Club
[/IMG][/IMG][/IMG][/IMG][/IMG][/IMG][/IMG][/IMG]

The pools were great and the inside pool was nice and warm they had two hot tubs also. After we played more and had an Old Fashion which was made perfect. [/IMG]
After playing for a while had to ticket up our comped tickets. [/IMG][/IMG
The show was very entertaining and then called it a night. View from room. [/IMG]
Friday woke up packed and checked out and played our last pop shot for the trip. After getting a 3K we bumped it to 5C on the next bet.

In all the whole property is outstanding from the hotels, pools, and casino and the 99.54Job. Until next time :)

The machines themselves look kind of old and clunky compared to the VP I play in AC. My only Borgata visit also left me disappointed with the state of the machines. I hate that style of button. You sure picked a great time to wager $5! My biggest dollar machine hit is $100 on a straight flush. Maybe I get inspired to bring a larger roll next week!

OH WOW ! You were checking-in when I was checking-out. After I checked-out my girlfriend and I went to the buffet for dinner. Where did you eat during your stay ?My favorite place is the Amphoria Lounge for Black card members and the buffet. Jim

Your right FAA all of their slant top machine are old and in rough shape. Their non smoking machine have cigarette holes on the arm rests and dirty screens. The bar tops at the B bar were newer, but most of them at least one button or the touch screen didn't work but that's common with bar tops. Hey JIMDUECESWILD that's funny we must have crossed paths maybe once. As for eating we went to the buffet and metropolitan and bread & butter for quick breakfast. I'm only Red label so know Amphoria Lounge for me. I use FloriaPhil's system most of the time so will never get the 1000 comp dollar to get Black label. Plus if it's really $500 coin in for one comp dollar that $500K a year :(. We enjoy Borgata very much wish it was a little closer to home takes about 4 1/2 from CT but oh well.

Wow nice hits! At first, I thought, well, at least you didn't hit the royal while min betting when I saw the two king high straight flushes. But then I saw the dealt Royal!! Yep, that's the risk you take. But on your min dollar hit, I would have max bet quarters instead of betting just 1 dollar when both paytables are 9/6...

When paytables are that good and never change among denominations, I think min bet at lowest denom., max bet at lowest, max bet at next highest denom., etc. is the best idea...

But do you think are they going to keep giving comp nights there with a lot of min betting quarters? I'm curious as to how much coin-in you got, if you're willing to share. From the pics, I can see Borgata is very nice! I'm not shocked it's the top dog in AC by a longshot.

Hey Vman96, not sure if they are going to keeping giving comp rooms during the summer but all fall through spring they did so hopefully. We both played with each other cards during the trip in total I earned 10 comp dollars and my wife earned 11 comp dollars. On vpfree2.com it says $500 coin for a comp dollar not sure if that's true or not. So in total if the $500 is true that's over $10k for the four nights. By far Borgata is the nicest place to stay and gamble in AC.

All you ever hear about re Borgata is the luxury mantra. They constantly reinvest in the place. Yet the VP machines are essentially in shambles. Rough shape, indeed! A puzzling and disgraceful blight for such a nice property otherwise. And as a day tripper, I would not be going for the buffet, decor, rooms, landscaping or pools. They need to get up to 2015 machine specs. They haven't replaced those machines with the boxy awkward buttons and tacky gold finish since they opened, which is pathetic management. Boy oh Boyd!

I posted this on May 25.--
I was at the Borgata for the weekend. I notice they removed 8 VP
machines and replaced them with penny machines. On Friday I saw the
asst. Casino manager or slots and poker machines. I told him if keeps
taking out the VP machines I'll have to stay in PA. and play. He assured
me that they won't be taking anymore VP machines out. He said they
are putting in more penny machine in because the make the most money off
them. The terminology he used is " They have the largest hold " meaning
money. They want to bring in as much money as they can. The next
step I'm waiting for is for them to start lowering the pay tables like
CET did.The reinvestment of machines they are doing are the 1¢ machines that make the most money for them..
