New AC trip

Taj, Tropicana, Ballys, Caesars and Resorts are all No Play zones for VP in my book. So you went back to the dry Taj well. You would have been better off at the Taj strip club! All the more confirmation for me to avoid. When I find myself sweating it out for a full house, it's off the list. Quite a miserable feeling to have a big winner in your proximity while you struggle to maintain even a ten dollar loss too. Another twist of the knife. 


Well here is the deal:  I do almost  all my poker playing at Borgata, Golden Nugget and Harrahs/Ballys (in that order), making it a point to play at as many [POKER] rooms as possible just to keep my accounts active and to keep up with who is offering the best deals on tournaments, rake back, comps etc.     I also play at the Tropicana too obviously, as mentioned previously, although the TROP is somewhat isolated (much like the Marina properties)  so it takes real effort to spend time at the TROP these days .....I book the majority of my ROOM stays at the TAJ however, for the simple reason I am Chairman level and I can book as many reservations directly online at anytime (no calling during business hours!)    So I sleep and stay at the TAJ, an dthen journey out to do my poker playing.....I like this arrangement, but what it means is when  I am back in my room and all done with Poker playing, when I decide I might want a little video poker action, generally I get stuck playing where I stay (i.e. the TAJ in the case of this last trip)   The TAJ actually has one machine with some GREAT full pay games (like 9-7-5 Double Bonus, 8/5 BP,  8-6 BPDX  etc)  but the machine yileds very very few actual hits, and lots of duds, typical of the "Slottified" video poker in AC casinos.

My guess is a $130 hourly Taj VP loss. That's triple your previous tumbles. Not much REM sleep after that! 8/5 BP looks great in theory. At a clip joint like Trop or Taj, a cruel bait indeed. Just call it Bareman level. Patrons usually lose their shirt! Why not lose it at the strip club while dropping a mere hundred?
