DaBurglar I could really care less if you either: continue to post here or not continue to post here.

If Resorts was misrepresenting the availability of a $5,000.00 prize in this promotion then they would be subject to being accused of false advertising and open themselves up to possible litigation and a civil suit that could reach class action status. Just think: YOU, THE ONE AND ONLY DABURGLAR, could be the lead plaintiff in this action. Imagine the excitement, you could be in front of a whole forest of microphones, think Gary Cooper portraying Lou Gehrig in "Pride of the Yankees" giving his famous "luckiest man" speech. You could say that you brought this action for the little guys, the ones who cannot stick up for themselves, battling the big corporate giant because they didn't deliver as promised. Your lawyer from the firm of "Dewey Screwem & Howe" could be standing there wiping the tears from your eyes as you try to get through your prepared speech.

As for my evidence regarding Resorts stating in their flier that a person COULD win up to $5,000.00 and that this has to be true, my evidence is something that you are sorely lacking in: COMMON SENSE.

And because you do not have any common sense may I suggest that you do a search on Harry S Truman and a famous quote of his regarding common sense.

And because you do not have any common sense may I suggest that you do a search on Harry S Truman and a famous quote of his regarding common sense. 1)  Your every action and post contradicts your statement that you "could care less" about me......this is a self evident truth, and has been for the past 5 years.2)  Your statement that if....IF resorts is misrepresenting or falsely promoting their game(s) and what people can win will lead to serious repercussions to Resorts is indeed TRUE.......BUT only if....IF people actually bother to complain about it and bring it to the attention of what few gaming agents still exist in NJ (in other words, people like little ol' ME.)    Plus, you got the exact nature of my complaint wrong again....this is not solely and only about some nebulous, mysterious "5,000 dollar prize".....the actual wording on the promotional flier sent out by resports each month states that each player is guaranteed to receive the minimum amount of slot cash (typically 10 bucks), but then continues "YOU COULD WIN a greater amount UP TO 5,000!"     This is the detail that makes my complaint extremely valid because the 3 employees clearly stated "there is not other greater amounts, including the max 5000 prize"......in other words, Resorts flier is a flatout  FALSEHOOD, according to the three employees who spoke to me on 3 different instances.3)  Building on the previous point (#2), that you put faith in the "common sense" of Resorts and that this in and of itself GUARANTEES that what they publish in their flier HAS to be correct........I defy you to try and use that argument or logic in any type of court or official hearing....or even everyday life!     WTF are on TED????    By your logic above regarding "common sense", we would never need any type of LAW, regulation, or statute in any type of situation in life, since acting righteously, honestly and correctly is (according to you) simply a matter of common sense.    We do not need environmental regulations because, it is common sense that a factory dumping its waste into a river would harm everyone (including the factory itself and its workers), so there is no need to actually have laws requiring the proper disposal of waste and the need to actually ENFORCE THOSE LAWS....yeah, right.     Likewise, according to your LOGIC about common sense, there is NO NEED whatsoever for ANY casino regulations nor a need to enforce them because, simply, it is common sense that all casinos will always act righteously and fairly and NEVER ever do anything shady or illegal or whatever.........again, WHAT WORLD do you live in????Just knock it off Ted.....once again you have traversed into the ABSURD in your futile attempt to "out-bluster" (i.e. argue) me......and leave Harry S truman out of it, the man deserves better than to be utilized by you as the basis of some non-sequitur infested "argument".Edited to add:   Way back when i first posted this thread, my hope was that other readers here who POSSIBLY frequent  Resorts AC would see this thread, know what I am referring to, and contribute their own input or experiences regarding the subject.....I was hoping that they might have some further input (good or bad or whatever) that would help better understand and clarify what is going on .....this is not simply about one measly promotional flier, etc.  As I stated earlier, the situation in AC and NJ now exists whereby there is more than a small chance that an existing casino can, and does, take advantage in someway due to the lack of sufficient oversight and ability to investigate.     AND FINALLY, as stated previously, I PERSONALLY WILL GET NOTHING if.....IF it is ever shown that Resorts indeed is guilty of some impropriety or violation(s) in this whole matter.

DaBurglar your item #2 above is circular. I completely understand but what do you not understand about the word COULD? It means you have an opportunity, there is a chance. Resorts flier does not use the WILL or SHALL or GUARANTEED.

If Resorts publishes something, they need to be able to back up what they publish.

Again; I took an opposing viewpoint than yours and brought you simple questions. You, in return; got nasty, used the word "defy"' AGAIN, and now are trying to change the subject to bringing up environmental issues.

You brought environmental issues into it because you could not answer those questions that I posed to you. Notes has commented on this same page out of your playbook.

I posted on your original thread because I have participated in the same type of promotion that you posted about. The only difference is that I won what I won and was thankful. I didn't feel the need to bring it up for discussion, here or anywhere, like you did because you've decided that this was your latest crusade.

Again, I think you bringing it up here in this forum wasjust sour grapes on your part. Get over it.

To any readers other than Tedlark (which means he does not need to respond to THIS post), the exact monthly flier contest does indeed use the wording "You COULD win an amount up to 5,000".....Per the gaming agent who took my complaint, AC casino rules stipulate that if a CASINO states that a patron COULD win something, then it absolutely MUST in fact be true that such a "something" does in fact exist and it is possible for someone to win.    I filed my complaint because, again, it was stated three times by three people, that no such award exists, and therefore it is really not possible to win what the flier states.    Per the common sense rule, this is a huge problem. But lest anyone out there have delusions of grandeur about MY delusions of grandeur, I personally (1) will receive NOTHING no matter what in this, and (2)  I simply filled out a form detailing my situation and what I observed.   When i visited the office to do this, the clerk simply explained that all casino patrons are entitled to fill out a form whenever they wish, and that the form is forwarded to an agent who then determines whether to look into it, or not (she said some people do fill out forms on issues that have no relevance or are not worth looking into...)     The fact that I received a response and a promise that this agent will look into my complaint does not MEAN anything YET beyond that, so any person's attempt to spend LOTS of time trying to refute, smear, criticize or confound any productive discussion on this issue, when THAT person has absolutely NO STAKE in the whole issue whatsoever ANYWAY.....well, you really must wonder how empty such a person's life must be.   It is way beyond simply "taking a position opposite what I post"........how stupid can such aperson be to actually think anyone other than HIMSELF believes that load of crap......I really wish someone out there who has received the Resorts AC Monthly flier and knows what I am talking about would ignore the bloated nature of this thread and chime in......this flier goes out to ANYONE who plays even a LITTLE at resorts-ac, so SOMEONE out there must be familiar with this......PLEASE, a new voice is desperately needed. This is nothing less than a case of either gross incompetence on the part of Resorts AC, or fraud.
