Thanks Jim for the update as usual.......I would like to point something out though that should be receiving attention in the State of New Jersey's Government halls and quarters, namely both the Division of Gaming Enforcement and the Casino Control Commission being overwhelmed and severely taxed to accommodate the EXISTING upcoming Casino grand openings this summer, specifically the HArd Rock and the Ocean Front Casino (formerly the HUGE Revel).....Both the Hard Rock (which encompasses the former Taj Mahal, a very LARGE expansive property), and the Ocean Front/"Revel" are attempting to beat the clock so to speak by getting open and operating before too much of the prime Summer Season passes by.....this means they need to be up and running BEFORE the fourth of July, and preferably as close to or soon after Memorial Day weekend;   As most of you know, Memorial Day is always the "Kick off" for Atlantic city's PRIME TIME Gambling and tourism season which runs thru Labor Day.Read this article here to better understand what the current administration & management teams of both the NJ Div. of Gaming  and the NJ Casino Control Commission are dealing with trying to accommodate the two Large Casinos already set to open ASAP..... http://www.pressofatlanticcity.com/news ... 8db.htmlAs you would expect, the article is cautiously optimistic, but there are warning signs.....If you now try and add to the current maelstrom a third large casino, the former Showboat, with its NEW Owner/operator, all the new employees that will be required, the new layout of the casino with its new games, to be vetted, screened, analyzed, investigated and financially assessed/tested for viability......you may be asking for trouble.    This is how mistakes get made, things overlooked, etc.    You would hope NJ learned its lesson with the FIRST go around of the Revel on what happens when things are rushed and inadequately vetted and analyzed.Unless someone has a link to an article, or something similar, detailing how the State of NJ and its erstwhile "deregulation/downsizing happy" Governor Christie has done  a about face and hired a slew of new employees for the state offices tasked with this work, I'm fearful of what could happen here....

bill I thought I saw something on Fox News recently reporting that Chris Christie could not use a special access door at an airport because he was no longer Governor of the State of New Jersey and therefore not eligible to use that VIP door. This may answer your question about ernstwhile Governor Christie. I may be mistaken though but up until recently I also thought, erroneously, that Donald Trump still had ownership of several New Jersey casinos. I can understand your being confused about using ernstwhile as an adjective or an adverb.

I hope you found this information helpful.

Yes that is why I said erstwhile....not "ernstwhile"....which means former or formerly depending on context and sentence structure. Gov. Christie rode into office hell bent on resuscitating AC's dying casino market back in 2010 during his first term...at that point AC was in free fall between the recession and the completely inept, ineffectual pathetic response AC's existing casinos were making to the challenge posed by Pennsylvania's burgeoning Casinos. Right out of the gate he incorrectly, almost unbelievably attributed a huge share of AC's troubles to oppressive regulations and bureaucracy....typical Republican dogma...and undertook the "reforms" which have been discussed here on the forum many times, but which ultimately did not help stop AC'S decline...next he arrogantly undertook a step which actually accelerated AC's decline and troubles, helping to ramrod thru completion of the half built monstrosity, REVEL, insisting that by building the behemoth casino it would somehow generate momentum and attract back much of the business lost to Pennsylvania and elsewhere....

Revel killed three casinos and itself within a year of opening...

The new NJ governor is some dunce-o-crat named Murphy... I hope he succeeds, because, afterall, as we have heard ad nauseum about our soon to be erstwhile Chief Executive, "if he succeeds then we succeed!"

Yeah, our new governor Phil Murphy is a Goldman Sacks guy, sound familiar? John Corzine Jr? I hope he succeeds too, but what is the definition of "succeed". He is honest about raising taxes on everything so I give him credit for that, but he seems to be charting the same course as Dannel (Yes that is how he spells his name) Malloy in Connecticut. How did that work out for him? not so good.
