I found these beat up old cartoons at my dad’s house Drawn on a napkin. I barely remember doing them. He must have saved them.

Thanks OTA. That generation is all but gone now. I hope we are all proud of them. Without them we all would be speaking German, Japanese, or both. Unfortunately, I don’t believe the schools today give them more than a barely mention if even that. When my dad was in assisted-living the last couple of years of his life, I was fortunate enough to meet other residents who had stories worthy of an episode on the history channel including a very famous personAnd Codebreaker of Nazi communications. During World War II as a civilian employee, my Mom was processing a German SS prisoner still in uniform on and old but new then Underwood typewriter. I may have posted this story before a few years ago, but the SS officer pulled a small knife from his lapel and attempted to take out a couple of more Americans before he went to POW camp or to trial Fortunately he was tackled before any damage was done except my mom had a close call as well with things flying all over the room including her typewriter. There is no substitute for loving parents who give wonderful lifetime advice. I guess we will miss them every day forever and rightly so.

Today in Sonoma….Ginger the dog to mom…..Mom, will you please tell that cat to get out of my way and tell him you always walk to your right!
Cat to Mom…...Before you answer that mom, remember Ginger is the same dumb dog that thinks the rear end on the dog next door smells like perfume!
