has anyone here ever worn 'blackface'? i am 65 and have never been at any event, where anyone has. never even thought of it.

yet, we now have another liberal politician who has done this and been caught on film doing it. justin trudeau has never had a problem telling the rest of us how to live a 'woke' life, has worn black face, at least 3 different times. and, he blames it on white privilege. in other words, it is somehow, my fault and the rest of white society. huh???

just a reminder than when someone calls or labels someone else something negative, like being a racist, they may very well be covering up for their own offenses.

does that remind you of anyone else on this forum? always calling others racist and not compassionate.

I dressed up as a bum for Halloween once when I was about 9 years old and my mom put burnt cork on my face to give me some authenticity. Does that count as blackface? If it does then I am guilty.

I was listening to something on the radio today and they were comparing what happened to Justice Kavanaugh to what happened to Justice Thomas.

the dems will stop at nothing to gain power, to get their way. they cannot convince the majority of americans to support their policies, so they must import voters and destroy all those who stand in their way. the kavanaugh accusations are all about the abortion issue, and they libs wanting to intimidate him and anyone else who might become a justice.

speaking of justice thomas. i have only heard him interviewed a couple of times. i cannot think of a more impressive person, this guy is smart and speaks common sense. i could listen to him all day.

When Clarence Thomsas was going through the confirmation process (1991), he and his wife, Ginni, were my neighbors. It was so unreal, because we were living in a fairly middle class area of Alexandria called "Kingstowne", an enormous master-planned community. Job transfer and we moved on shortly after he was confirmed, but I will never forget how "ordinary" he seemed at the time.

Funny that you've even hear him interviewed . . . he seldom speaks or asks questions from the bench. I think it took him several years to ask his very first question during oral arguments.

I wish one of these politicians would say, "Yeah I did it. So what? "

Be careful using the term "master-planned" these days.....

good story and you are correct about his lack of questions from the bench. don't know if i would use the word ordinary, but maybe, down to earth or common sense approach.

while different political opinions, it is like listening to warren buffet, talk about investing and his common sense approach.

just proves one doesn't have to use $10 words to appear smart or be smart.

I read a story once about Warren Buffet and Bill Gates, who teamed up as Bridge partners. They were playing at a tournament once and got hungry so they, by themselves, left the tournament and headed to a nearby Wendy's for a burger. Just the two of them sitting at a table in Wendy's munching on burgers, probably net worth between them at the time around 100 billion dollars. I would have liked to see that.
