Our pension fund is up approximately 35% over the past 12 months. It is only 1/3 in the market, 1/3 in real estate investments, and 1/3 widely mixed. Too risky for my blood on a personal basis, but as I can't change anything about the pension fund mix, I am glad to ride with it (til it crashes, lol)

Its previous all-time high was 27%, so this is an awesome gain (until it's not, ha ha)

Hard to differentiate today. In my book, progressives, socialists, communists, tarred pretty much with the sane brush as most believe in Abortion, including our so called Administration and I use that word loosely. The only thing they are pretty good at is Administrating their plans and devices to stay in power.

I blew it again on my market play. Few days ago could have bought Prudential at 97 and got out at 104. Would have had a free 700 bucks for my next trip. Now I have to wait again. Was busy with family stuff ad just didn’t get around to it.

Well, that is unfortunate. I do no trading on my own. I got out entirely, only to watch DJIA rise almost 1% since. But S&P still flat and a major investment has continued to tank. I still monitor some forty stock symbols daily on my phone app. My advisor just called to offer me an actual actively managed portfolio run by a top firm. People actually working on my behalf? What a concept! The squeaky wheel gets the grease. Nothing gets their attention like liquidating an account.

Bloodbaths are getting familiar. Sideline safety status quo or an opportunistic reentry point?

I have been anticipating a severe downturn for a long time. Between Powell’s remarks and Omicron, the overvalued market was looking for an excuse to go down. Stay tuned as Russia and China are up to no good I am afraid. Impossible to outguess the market. At this point, I am content to sit with mostly Municipal bond funds, high dividend paying bond funds, and a few keepers. I knew Disney was going to tank a couple of months ago. Highly overvalued, problems with several in process business decisions, Covid, and other news. My brother and sister bailed in time on my advice, but my wife and daughter are huge Disney fans, so here I sit with mine ever after a 50 point retracement. At this point, my crystal ball is simply saying “ Tread lightly, but carry a big stick. “ the above of course is just my own opinion. I am my own financial advisor. That way, just like VP mistakes, I have no one to blame but myself.
