My nephew tested positive a few weeks ago. He had a slight fever for three days or so but pretty much felt okay. After ten days or so he returned to work and seemed fine. Last week, he was playing full court basketball when he suddenly got completely winded. his friends were so concerned they drove him home. For the last week he has slept 15-18 hours a day and can't concentrate enough to get any work done.
Doctors confirm he isn't re-infected. His dr. hasn't seen a case like this, but says he has read about quite a few. My Nephew is 6 foot, maybe 240. He plays rugby and I'd say he is in better than average shape for a guy in his mid-30s. He played rugby and lacross in college.
Best wishes, Ted. Get well soon

Ted, do the home remedies that you can. I remember reading that the sun is good for you too so get outside (away from others of course).

I have an occasional bad headache coupled with body ache. Because of another medication that I've been on since 1999 I cannot take aspirin for the headache. I am constantly tired and sleep alot but I'm also tired of sleeping but I need to. I have no appetite and some days I just haven't had the urge to eat but I know that I need to eat. I had forgotten how good a bowl of chicken soup goes down.
They say 10 days and this should run its course for me. I'm just so thankful that I do not need to be hospitalized. I notified my primary physician earlier today of my positive results.
Thanks all.

Try a breakfast/ meal replacement shake. You can force one down in thirty seconds or so. Just be patient and let it run its course.Tedlark wrote: ↑Thu Oct 22, 2020 5:28 pmI have an occasional bad headache coupled with body ache. Get well soon Ted. Good to see at least you know what you are dealing with and are doing all you can for a recovery. We know so little about COVID and why some people get a mild dose while others have to battle and have a much harder time with it. Couple of questions.
Any idea how you got it? Casino, grocery shopping, maybe something else? And how hard was it to get a test? What is the process you will be going through for follow up testing to make sure you are done with COVID?

I have no clue how I contracted it. I do my best to social distance when in public so the only answer would be that I touched an infected surface and then touched my face/nose/mouth/eyes before I was able to wash of disinfect my hands. As for getting tested, I went to a state run testing facility. The facility opened at 8:00 am and I was there at 7:00 am expecting to see a line. I was the only one there when I got there and when they opened at 8:00 am I was third in line for testing.seemoreroyals wrote: ↑Fri Oct 23, 2020 4:28 amGet well soon Ted. Get well fast Ted. Hope you can just weather this and come back stronger than ever. Yes, sun is good and the other stuff I mentioned too. By far the best advice I hear is to really stay hydrated. Stay in touch here if you feel like it. Don’t forget to tell your primary care Dr. about anything unusual happening that is not happening now. Most of us Guys think we can just tough anything out. This thing is still such an unknown and the so called experts keep calling new shots. All the Best Ted
