Dawn Wells, who played the wholesome Mary Ann on Gilligan's Island has died from Covid 18. She was 82.

As a young boy I had a crush on her while watching that silly show.

I loved that show. May she rest in peace.

(Side note, but I'm guessing it was 19 that got her, not 18).

I was infatuated with her too and I love the show

Mmm, her in those little white shorts. Must have pushed the boundaries of censorship back in those days. I too, preferred her over Ginger.

Everyone always picks Mary Ann over Ginger and yet Ginger was supposed to be the sex symbol. Ginger did not age well either but Dawn was still attractive as she aged.

When asked to chose between the two, few men pick Ginger.

I did not know until the story on the news tonight that Ms. Wells once won the Miss Nevada pageant and competed in the 1960 Miss America pageant.

Neither did I. Yes BR. Tragic loss. Been following it on the news
