It’s Here

The South African Covid variant has just been found in South Carolina. They are actually thinking about a third shot as a booster but there will be a lot more to follow once the science tries to get a handle on this along with more on the UK one and the one from Brazil as well. I was fortunate in one way I just got a negative Covid test results back five minutes ago.

Were you exhibiting any symptoms? I was recently offered a test but didn't see any point in taking it.
Would have been nice to have the opportunity a few months ago when I was sick.

I had no symptoms but had been exposed at the Assisted Nursing Care Facility where my dad resides. An employee unknowingly had it. Also I got my first shot there as a last minute thing due to a no show. I was probably exposed then too. Anyway, all good for the moment, but the Country still has a huge fight ahead and the virus mutating thousands of times,
wont make it easy.

Turned over to the Guardian of the Galaxy for proper safekeeping ( the Mrs ) and rationing. I suggested to her we make up some ration coupons like those used in WW2. By the way, I still have some of those that were passed down in the family. She of course will be the Warden.

It appears that you are psychic. Later in the day you learned that MS has withdrawn all comp room offers. Back to house arrest! More’s the pity! :|

Sometimes I think I am. It wasn’t long after I mentioned the retribution word the room offers disappeared. When I was 8 or 9 and I can’t do it anymore, I could move a tiny car part way accross the kitchen table or make a pencil spin. My mom saw me do it a few times. Nobody has to believe me of course, but such instances are pretty well documented throughout history. I can’t predict when and if I will win and discipline is still a major issue, but I do have an uncanny ability to predict a quad will appear on the next hand. I did that three times on Thursday night. Of course I can’t control the machine itself and if I did I would be banned immediately. On that big Royal hit, they opened up that machine and played with it for quite a few minutes before paying me. It was like, wait a minute, nobody is supposed to win with blind luck like that. I didn’t see too many smiles on their faces either.
As to the virus, it appears there is a new New York City varient knocking on our doors now.

I’ve read that machines are often inspected on large hits. Better to have first hand experience. Sounds like a three person squadron. How many points did you end with? That must be a staggering total.

Unfortunately, at Mohegan Sun, the 98.5 percent or higher vp machines pay no points. They do pay status points what some call tier points. If like in my case I exceed 40 in one gaming day, I get 100 in free play. To exceed that 40 number, you have to run about 20,000 through the machine. I was able to do that for that session. On triple status point days, about 7,000 coin in will allow me to hit that 40 number and get the 100 in free play. On any typical day, I get 20 bucks in normal free play. If I were to play an 8/5 machine, I would also earn momentum dollars. Those I can spend, but you still have to cycle about 500 bucks through to get one point. Worth one dollar in casino money. It just isn’t worth it to play an 8/5 machine. I can’t blame them though, as if I stick with a 99.54 machine, with my free play especially on a triple status point day, I can get my EV to one or better. What they also do though if they see that I continue to hit that magic number of 40 status points to get the 100 in free play is bump that required number up to 50 or 60. They already bumped me up to 40 from 30. They just don’t want a player to be able to have an EV over 1 and who can blame them. I think they miss one big point though. Impulse gambling. The chances of a gambler who has a windfall day of playing crazy or even regular slots instead of vp are high. I have seen big winners do that over and over again. I guess they don’t want to take the chance that a player with perfect play and discipline can make money on them in the long haul. We can probably count those players on one hand. I guess even one is too many for them.

So, they basically throttled you, and would not hesitate to do so again. I guess I’d like a 500 TC day which triggers a free 125 TCs. That’s also $6.25 in RCs. That’s $10,000 coin in. Quarter machines have a killer $50:1 requirement. You’re basically just there for the entertainment and to catch a progressive RF. On dollar, $20:1. Still double the old bar. I may take a run at it if I am up and hit 300 TCs.
