This story may have some legs. Authorities are looking into how and why the trump campaign has been forced to issue over $122 million dollars in credit card donations that the cardholders never signed off on. Thousands of people who intended to make a one-time donation ended up with their cards being charged the donation on a monthly basis.
Bookkeeping mistakes do happen, the Biden campaign had to return about $20 million for similar reasons, but the trump campaign seems to have done this systematically.

This boils down to something I mentioned to another forum member here regarding casino offers: Read the fine print.

You have to wonder how many more people might just now be finding out about this?
A few years back, my Mom made a one-time donation of $100 to a charity by phone and three months later realized she was being charged monthly. One phone call ended the monthly charges but she felt bad asking for her $200 back and she ended up signing up to give $19 a month for life.

Read the form correctly. There is a box to check ( √ ) on whether to repeat the donation.

So, since republican donors were six times more likely to have been affected, should we conclude they are six times dumber than democrats or that the trump campaign did something different?

This is almost as bad as defunding the police, and refunding Planned Parenthood :D
