I think the flooding was mainly western part of the state and olds near shore?, but ditto...

I was watching Fox Weather and they were talking about the same kind of rain on both sides of the Sound including North Shore Long Island towns such as Stoney Brook.

Thanks. We are ok. All records broken about 15 miles away from us and 2 poor people swept away. 16 inches and 13 in Monroe. Some roads and bridges out. The weather people say it was a once in 1,000 years event and was unpredictable on top of it. Some historic homes and restaurants were severely damaged as well.

You won’t even be on the road much after those MS room cancellations. Good time to stay home.
