A sad day

I had to have my dog put to sleep Sunday. She would have been 16 in Jan. I had her since she was 6 weeks old. Smart as could be. She went everywhere with me. She was fine just moves slower at times. Sat night while getting off the floor to go outside she had a stroke. The vet came out Sunday morning and confirmed it. Poor thing could not stand and refused water and food(even her favorite a taste of peanut butter). She could not take her eyes off of me as she went to sleep, nor I her.
Very hard thing to do. I will miss her presence and loving affection.

OEJ

Been there.

It's amazing how they actually become part of the family.

So sorry. It's hard to lose a friend and faithful companion.

Thanks everyone. It is so silent without her. This will take sometime.

oej, been through it a few times. The longer they are with us the harder it gets. Time will heal, but it's a slow process. Best of luck.
