only three posts, so far, saying farewell to a true American icon and a very kind and decent soul.... it's sad and it is sad!

I left my tribute on facebook and cried at group therapy. Didn't realize I had to do it here too.
But now the tears are coming once again. Thanks DB.

RIP Aretha. She was one of a kind. Unfortunately, I never had the opportunity to see her perform in person.

Yes, RIP Aretha. Met her once briefly at Mohegan Sun at the Concierge desk. A true shining star that never put on airs. She has her own star now.

I saw the Four Tops in Concert at the Yale Bowl in 1966. A true class act as well.
