BConnected tier points for video poker

So I'm still having trouble figuring out exactly how tier points are awarded for video poker at bconnected casinos, and I can't seem to find the info online.
All I can find is that tier points are based on theo somehow... but exactly how? Is this known?
Am I correct in assuming that you'll never get any tier points for playing a >100% game?
But if I put in, say, $1000 coin in on a 99% game, how many tier points is that worth? Is there a formula or something somewhere?
Thanks in advance

I have read elsewhere on line that tier points are awarded based on the theo for the particular game you're playing. But, so far, it all seems to be a mystery as to exactly what theo they use for any particular game.
I played at Main Street Station earlier this month (Nov2-5), and put through about $50,000 on 8/5 bonus poker. My tier credits did go up by several hundred, but since I failed to record my starting tier points, I can't be more precise than that. I believe I saw somewhere that it took $60/point on that game, and that does seem to be somewhere in the right ballpark.
From what I've read, I believe that a person playing a >100% game would find it virtually impossible to attain even sapphire status.
What really hurts, too, is the reduction in the earning rate of comps/cashback, from the previous 0.2% (with sapphire status), to the now 0.05%.

Thanks for the info! I guess I'll have to stick to the crappy games if i want to earn enough points to get a free pie next week at Sam's Town hahah

Main Street also has plenty of 9/6 DDB from nickels on up, and even a progressive old school quarter 9/6 DDB bank. Add the scratchers you get for hitting a quad or higher, and these are right at 100%. On this particular version of poker, it is about $100 in for 1 tier credit. It would be cheaper to get the pie at Sams Club instead of Sams Town!

LOL, I'm with you on that. But every Thanksgiving for the past few years my parents and I go to Vegas and my mom loves to take advantage of the free pie at Sam's Town. I told her it's only like, maybe a $10 pie, but she's so happy once she gets enough points to get one. I'll have to break the bad news to her this year!

Boyd has an 11X slot (not teir) point promotion on Thanksgiving Day. So, if you have at least sapphire status, it may not be too hard to earn a pie.

Ah thanks for the heads up.. I am sapphire at the moment, but with the recent changes, I'd imagine i will never be again after this period ends. Better take advantage while I still can

The pies are 20 tier credits, so if you play $100 in slots = free pie. 1 tier credit = $5 in slot play. With VP it would be $2000 in = free pie. Regarding the 11x point multiplier, remember that it is $2 in for 1 point now for VP. With a sapphire card, we used to get 2x anyways per $1 in. Emerald card holders really got bit, as they used to get 3x automatically per $1 in. I'd let mom know that if she really wants to get that free pie, to pick her favorite slot machine and play that first. Good luck!!

For VP the amount of coin in for a tier credit is as follows.
Coin-in for Tier credit = $0.50 / theoretical hold of the machine.
So for a 99% game
Coin-in for Tier credit = $0.50 / 1% = $50 a tier credit.
