Quest for Rewards 2019 - bad changes

The new 2019 Caesars Quest for Rewards has changed. Last year you could get 200 bonus tier credits for each casino if you earned 25 tier credits at that casino. So if you played video poker and earned 25 tier credits in 15 different casinos, you got a 3,000 tier credit bonus. Not anymore. Now you only get a 25 tier credit bonus once during the whole promotion for earning 25 tier credits. I'm a low roller and will not be Platinum for 2020 because most of my tier credits came from the Quest. My wife is Diamond this year but may not be in 2020 with this change.

Get a Harrah's credit card. It bumps you to Platinum.

I am Platinum and my wife Diamond from Tier credits earned last year. This quest promotion should have given us 3,200 tier credits each if it was the same as 2017 and 2018 January quest by earnig 25 tier credits at 16 casinos. I decided we aren't going to earn diamond for next year because it isn't that valuable for us when you look at the losses from last year. We also will not be able to go to Atlantic City much this year. My wife was going to get 6,000 tier credits for staying and paying for 8 nights in vegas. We cancelled those rooms. The change in this year's quest is really going to save us money by not playing at the CET casinos with their poor paytables. I am sure that wasn't what CET had in mind with this year's quest which is geared towards spending $25 cash at their medium to high end restaurants to get 25 tier credits. We never cared about the entries into their drawing since there are millions of patrons with millions of entries and only a few winners. We only wanted the tier credits.

Also, our closest casino is Horseshoe Baltimore and they changed their diamond lounge last year to a VIP lounge (25,000 Diamond or seven stars for entry) without any free food. In 2017 they had free wings or meatballs (one container) and long lines in the very small lounge. In April 2018 it was changed to pay for food off a menu. The food is pretty much what anyone can get during happy hour. That was when we stopped going to Horseshoe.

I think all Diamond lounges now require 25,000 tier credits to enter. Other than the 100 dollar yearly comp Diamond has no real advantages.

You need Diamond (15,000 tier credits) to enter a Diamond Lounge but you have have to pay 1000 reward credits ($10) per person for first 2 people (including the diamond person). The third person is 2500 reward credits ($25).

If you are diamond with 25,000 tier credits, then first 2 people are free.

Diamond is also good for not paying a resort fee when staying at a CET casino.

They also have the free 4 nights at Atlantis (plus resort fee and gratuity) plus $100 free play and free casino experience pass.

Correct and not having to pay resort fees is a big plus for frequent visitors.

Quest for rewards summer Las Vegas promotion started June 1. I don't live in Vegas but I did get 50 tier credits after activating the promotion for having my email address on file and using the mobile app. You can get 2 more badges and probably 50 more tier credits if you link your players card number to their online casinos.

It doesn't look like Platinum, as I am on pace for 2,600 TCs. But AC has pay tables to encourage repeat business. Hope to finally have a multi RF year.

I was in Horseshoe Baltimore casino and saw VP downgrades. Not in pay tables but in machines removed. A bank of 4 STP machines are gone. A bank of 6 DDB progressives gone. The back of those DDB machines were 6 $1 & up machines which are gone. A bank of 3 UX machines and 2 machines in high limit room out of service. Horseshoe is hurting. Their monthly revenue keeps dropping. Their monthly average this year is $19 million (not counting March). Last year $21 million. Year before $22. Before that $27.

It's too bad that the so-called geniuses that manage these places can't seem to figure out that removing attractive games, reducing payables, etc., is not the road to increased revenues and profits.
