MGM Rewards

Just got back from Vegas. Seems like the tier credits earned for Video Poker players has been reduced anywhere between 1/3 to 1/2. I am basing this on coin in and the amount of time played before the recent changes. Realize it is based on the “Theo loss that is not transparent at all. Played mostly Ultimate X and Hot Roll poker at $12.50 per hand. Did play just a little 5 hand .50 cent TDB. Just wondering if anyone has noticed this with MGM properties.

Yep, lots of complaints from vp players.

The old earn rate was $1 = 1 TC.

New rate is 12.5c of theo = 1 TC. But the Vegas properties have been running a 2x TC promo. With the promo factored in, a 6.25% theo hold game should earn at the same rate as before.

But if you play anything with less than a 6.25% theo hold, your earn would be slower than before.

And btw from what I've heard, they're not using exact, computer optimal theo holds for vp. If you played 98.15% 9/6 TDB, you were probably assigned a higher than 1.85% theo hold.

They had it good there. You needed TEN TIMES MORE COIN IN at MGM Detroit to earn the same amount as MGM properties in Vegas.
