I am still waiting to get dealt something with a kicker

How many hands have you been dealt?

You could be waiting a long time. Being dealt the hand is great as there is no thought process of what to do but just not going to happen very often

I have been playing video poker for nearly 20 years. I play at least 300,000 hands a year. That's over 5 million hands played. So far, I have been dealt five royals. Being dealt a jackpot takes no skill whatsoever. I predict you will be dealt a jackpot with a kicker. When? No one knows.

Heh -- the very first time I played VP, I was dealt a straight flush ------ and forgot to hold the cards.

Consensus among many people seems to be you can ask the casino to review a play like that where its obvious a mistake was made. People claim they have gotten paid, while others say they asked and were denied. In any event, it doesn't hurt to ask.

Good to know. This was a long time ago and I never did it again.

It does happen.... sometimes.
