Max bet button vs. Draw button.

Post by Jojo2018 »

Most of the time, I max bet when I'm starting on a "basic" machine. That is must "max bet" to get a chance at a 4000 Royal flush (JOB). Sometimes 4600 coins.

However, I've noticed that if I hit the "draw" button the subsequent time, it always selects the 5 coin or max draw. That's been the case in most machines, but I seem to remember that hitting the draw button would only select one coin (happens rarely). Am I right? What's the purpose of the "draw button?

I think I know why the draw button selects 5: the casino wants all your money!

The draw button will repeat whatever bet was made on the last hand. As far as the purpose of the draw button ,you kinda need it to draw cards after the deal.

Not to bring this thread back from the dead, but I'm new here so I'm just browsing through the forum posts! One (maybe) superstition I've noticed about the max bet vs. draw button is on Super Times Pay...I swear, especially on the 100 hand variant, I can play over and over again using draw and not get a multiplier bonus.

As soon as I instead use the max bet button, I'll get a bonus. It's almost like the game "forgets" that you're max betting for the multiplier. I'm sure it's not true, but it happens SO frequently that I struggle to believe 100% there isn't something going on there...

So why not use the max bet button all the time. One of two things will happen. Either you are right and will win a fortune or you will find out it was just a random event you saw a pattern in.

Because the constant 'whirling' sound is about as annoying as button pounding players.

Jojo18,
Many times i rotate or try to get into a rhythm of hitting max and draw buttons when I play especially if i have several no pay return hands. Just the nanosecond difference may make a hit difference. This also leads me to sometimes hit the "scene deal button". Anything, to change if my timing is off. This also includes hitting the bet button from 5 back to 1 and back up to 5. Since most of my play is multi-hand I will also move up a hand or two to change timing. Since, hits are based on my timing, I'm constantly trying to keep my timing on the hit cycle. Anecdotally, many of my best hits seem to occur after such a change.

The max coin button is not always five coins. This has tripped me up on numerous occasions. Once in an Indian (native) casino, I was playing single coin dollars. I put in a $100 bill. I had a run up and hit the max coin button. The machine played 100 coins!! I had no choice but to play the whole thing. Luckily I hit a straight. When you run into that situation, I hit the coin button five times.

Using the max coin button on every hand is annoying to the players around you. Be courteous and use the deal button.

It is not uncommon to see 15 credits be the max bet on single line games. I always check to see which number of coins is necessary to get full royal payout. I have also seen many machines where 10 coins is the max credit where you have to play all 10 to get the full royal. So you have to pay attention to what max coin is in many cases. I like the max coin 15 machines because I can start out with 5 to make sure I get full pay royal and increase my bet if things are going good. Or as Larry said earlier sometimes it is good to change things up from time to time to get back into a good rhythm.

Late chime in here. As mentioned a lot of times the max bet for a hand is more than 5 credits. There's also internal settings on the machine as to what the deal/draw will do when pressed for a new hand (most commonly in casinos I see it set to repeat the last bet, whether that's max bet or not). The casino/operators would set what it does from the internal menus
