Why do you play video poker? What is your favorite game and why?

I'd love to get dealt enough royals to see the pattern that causes it.

There is no "pattern".

i've also never been dealt a RF, but i've also never been dealt Four Aces w/any 234 or Four 234 w/A234 either

have been dealt other 4 of a kinds from 2-Aces, straights, flushes etc

would obviously be amazing to be dealt a RF...

don't think there's any legitimate way to hit a dealt RF without fixing the machine in your favor somehow

I've had several, and I don't recall tinkering with the machine, at all.

Don't worry about getting it on the deal. I've had more RF holding 2 cards than any other hold situation including needing only one card to the royal. In casinos, I've hit RF probably 15-20 times in the last 5 years. I see too many people hold 2 or 3 suited cards for straights or flushes versus going for the royal.

I agree totally. Always hold 2, 3 and 4 RF cards when dealt to you. If you don't hold them and try, then it's impossible to get a Royal Flush.

Do you really mean "always"? If you're dealt three aces, and a jack-ten of the other suit, wouldn't you keep the trip aces?
