Why are full pay FP video poker games not at a standardized percentage? ie Bonus 99.17, DDB 98:98,
JoB 99:54

Full pay is usually taken to mean the best available pay table for a particular game. So, for 9/6 jacks or better, it's 99.54%, for 8/5 bonus poker it's 99.17%, 10/7 double bonus is 100.17%, etc.

Actually, there are 2 different kinds of 8/5 Bonus poker. You're better off finding the ones where all quads pay 175 credits for a 5 coin bet instead of the usual 400/200/125.

I"m aware of that version, and thought a bit about it when I posted my comment. But, in my opinion, a game where all quads pay the same should not be called a bonus game. While they do call the game you've described bonus poker, it is, in fact, 8/5 JOB with an enhanced quad payout.

For that matter, I have seen, and played, a version of 9/6 JOB that pays extra (I'm not sure if it's 400 or 500) for the straight flush. I guess that's "extra full pay"?

OMT have played the extra full pay at Aquarius in Laughlin, it was 400 on the SF and was called %100.00.
Not sure if the % figure makes sense.

That's where I've played it as well. A 400 straight flush makes the game 99.87%.

Those machines also have the "bonus" poker game with the 175 quad payout.

Because in almost every state, video poker must be played with a random deck of playing cards where each card is equally likely.

So the only way to adjust payback percentages is to adjust the paytable. And to get the payback to within 0.01% of each other, you'd have to incrementally adjust the royal (or another rare hand) to some odd payouts.

For instance 9/6 JoB with a royal of 4880 credits is EXACTLY 100%.

For 8/5 Bonus Poker, a royal of 5590 credits gives 100.0011%.

For 9/6 DDB, a royal of 5845 credits gives 99.9994%.

Neither. It's 450 and pays back 99.9962%. I never have found that game yet. Probably never will either. :(

Vman, thanks for the 450 number. Earlier in this thread OMT & myself had talked about a "full-pay"
JOB in Laughlin and i remembered a 400 pay for a SF. I checked VPFree for the Aquarius and 450 is the
correct # for their game. I know the signage above the bank of machines (near the buffet) claimed 100% and your number 99.9962% is, as AP stated, "close enough".
