Can someone figure out the breakeven point on a deuces wild progressive, with the following full pay paytable: 3OAK, 5credits, Flush or straight-10, FH-15, 4OAK-20, SF-40, 5OAK-50, Wild Royal-100, 5OAK with one wild-800, 4 deuces, reset at 1,000, 4 Deuces with Ace-reset at 2,000, Natural Royal-4,000. Just for the generic 4 deuces. Assume the reset for Deuces with an ace. I know the basic paytable is awful, but the generic deuces gets high. Thanks

You can use the wizard's game return calculator and just keep adjusting the hand(s) with the progressive to get your answer.

Try 4 Deuces at 1809.45. That should get you to breakeven with appropriate strategy changes for the richer deuces. Without strategy changes, the EV is just shy of 99.79% at that payout for deuces no kicker. If you want to get to breakeven with no strategy changes from the base game, you have to wait a little longer to 1869.95.

The variance given the breakeven amount and strategy changes is 53.12, up from 35.73 on the base game.

And of course, the extra payout on deuces with a kicker when present would be a little more gravy.

are you sure the wild royal is 100 rather than 125? In the version of Super Bonus Deuces in the Video Poker for Winners software, the closest pay schedule to what you indicate shows 125 for the wild royal --- with a payout of 97.87%.

Whatever payout you have, you can use that software to practice by changing the pay schedule appropriately. While the information is the same as in the free Wizard of Odds calculator, the VPW version is MUCH more user friendly.

How fast is the progressive meter? The hand of quad deuces happens every 5000 hands, if quad deuces progressive meter increases 1 cent per hand, it will be adding only $50.

The return won't even get close to 97.5% with quad deuces paying $1050 on average.
