Howdy! Been a member for a while (and I've learned a lot) and this is my first post. I've been playing some "multiple" type games here on VP.com. So - when playing Hundred Play with Super Times Pay I have a question about the multiplier. I just played 50 hands, and was only thrown one STP multiplier during that time. Is that about consistent with casinos? I've never actually tried this one for real, but if that's about right - I won't be playing it for real! BTW, thanks to this site I have hit 2 Royal Flushes recently! And, honestly, even when I don't win - I sure have fun! Thanks for all the advice and tips while I've been lurking. (Although I plan on being a bit more active).

FYI - After I posted that I tried again and played 32 hands and didn't get one single multiplier (ran out of "money" at that point). So one multiplier in 82 hands. Seems crazy! Not playing that for real if that's expected!

I believe the help screen says that the overall odds on getting a multiplier are 1 in 15. But that is an average. You could get 3 in a row or go over a hundred hands and not get one. If you play more you'll see.

Or you could try your hand at DOUBLE Super Times Pay (DSTP) and, for the price of an extra coin per hand, get multipliers nearly twice as often. And every once in a while, you can get two multipliers that add together before being applied to your wins.

Another nice feature is that the Super Times Pay's expectation is about 0.27% higher than the same pay schedule on a regular game, meaning more value for your coins. And DSTP's expectation is about 0.50% higher. Of course, you are risking more as well, so poor performance like you experienced when there was a relative dearth of multipliers will cost you more. Also, your excitement when the multiplier sound starts will often be quelled when you have poor hands. Zero multiplied by 10x or even 20x is still zero, darn it.

I once had a streak of close to a hundred hands without a multiplier, while the drunk next to me seemingly was getting one every few hands. He must have had a dozen in the time I had zero.
I learned a valuable lesson that day. If you play the game blind drunk you will either get more multipliers or not feel so bad if you don't get any.
I've had two in a row a couple of times, but have not had three in a row yet. At this point, I think it is safe to say I never will as I rarely even look for this game any more.

Thanks for the replies! I remember playing DSTP a few times at The Nugget in Lake Charles, but I'd forgotten until you just brought it up. Seems like I did ok on it, too. I think it was a 5 play, if I'm not mistaken. That was before I got into actually learning how to play this game correctly (or - trying to, anyhow). Cool .. something else to have fun with!
